Bring it on chicken little! Bald Eagle standing its ground against a Swainson's Hawk. The hawk came in fast with talons out and tried to knock the eagle off if it's fence post. The eagle kept it's balance after the attack. You can see the eagle using its '3rd eye' to protect the eyes from the attack. The image is out of focus a little as I was not expecting such a fast and fierce attack but you can see the 3rd eye closing. I tried to sharpen it up a bit but just ended up degrading the image....so just used a little. Interesting that the hawk only did one attack run and moved on.
The interior of St. Mary's Basilica (Kościół Mariacki) is an explosion of architectural detail and color. The blue painted ceiling rivals Rome's Santa Maria Sopra Minerva and the stained glass is magnificent when the sun is out. Unique to this Polish basilica is the Hejnał Mariacki - a live trumpet signal played from the bell tower of the church every hour on the hour. The signal can be heard from blocks away, although it cuts off mid note towards the end of the tune to commemorate a 13th century trumpeter hit in the throat with an arrow as he warned of a Mongol attack on the city.

This is my entry for Round 6 of the 2014-15 Middle Earth Lego Olympics .
I had lots of fun building this one, completing 90% yesterday and today!
When we're under attack, we have negative feelings.
Electrochemical reactions create feelings. These chemicals may stay in our body a while, depend on how intense the experience is. Negative feelings can create negative thoughts. These negative thoughts could produce further unfavourable feelings (more chemicals).
Depending on the severity of the situation, we may need a medical assistance and/ or a remedy to induce pleasant feelings, such as having fun. Some supplements may also be helpful in breaking the cycle. As I’ve previously stated, a nice music triggers the release of dopamine (happy chemical) in the brain. This can be helpful for us as well.
"Under attack" song performed by a murder robot is a nice music. It could be helpful for cheering up a person. Please click below to listen.
Sir Lance A Lot uses the low-level attack mode as he searches for bait fish in the somewhat flooded mud flats area along Horsepen Bayou. The bayou is a tidal estuary and subject to tidal changes and the herons have to employ different techniques to catch their prey as the water levels change in the area with the tidal movements. Tri-colored Heron captured on Horsepen Bayou. He had little concern for my presence as well, but remaining motionless is the key to getting shots like this. One move and he's gone in a flash.

I have been attacked with the cold and cough last few days
....and I am back in the memory lane again..
The basic body works for all classes of bot I think. I need some more gold and orange to make the rest of them from the film...

Halloween and Fall Colors - This where many wedding photography takes place. Too bad it's mostly in the summer because they are missing all this :)
Rust attacking the centimeter scale on great grandfather's caliper. Taken for #MacroMondays #Rust theme.

Blue jays are fast and so anticipating their next move is essential and occasionally we get the focus where we want it.
These snake pictures are surprisingly popular. They're pretty blurry which is too bad, but my old film cameras never had any of that fancy 'auto-focus' stuff on them, and people always seemed to puzzle over how to do it by hand. At least one of the reasons they are so popular is due to people googling anaconda.
Wait for the big event on this halloween. Just a few hours left.

As soon as I saw this I knew exactly how I would edit this.
So I attack it with my camera and then when I was done I sat down to start trying out the bubbles and I noticed there was ACTUALLY a lifeguard on duty and he was watching me the whole time.
There is rarely ever a lifeguard on duty. But I guess I should have realized it since the boat was out. I'm sure he didn't care anyways. I just hate when I realize later that someone was watching me and I didn't notice.
I wanted to try something different yesterday and a friend suggested Chester Zoo. This is a weaver bird coming under attack whilst trying to construct it's nest.
