Today I ran the course I walked that led to my heart attack in Dec 2016, this is only the second time since then that I have gone over this route and the first time I have run it - my thanks to Ann Smith, Paul Szefer and Josephine Chaplin for keeping me company on what is an emotional route for me and I even managed to run part way up 'heartbreak hill'

Louise Bourgeois’s monumental bronze sculpture titled “Crouching Spider,” on loan to the City by the artist, is currently installed by the San Francisco Arts Commission on the Embarcadero at Mission Street - Entry Plaza at Pier 14

Originally produced in 2003, this cast from the artist’s famous “Spider” series was made specifically for display in San Francisco. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C.

Encountered this snake in the middle of the trail. Instead of sitting still as snakes usually do when faced with threat, the snake-dude decided he would take no shit from me.

Okay, so the story is that my brother had left a few empty paper bags in the hallway. The kittens had a ball with them, and Peaches was the first to come up with the brilliant idea of climbing *into* the bag. Misty just saw something moving in the bag, and went batshit crazy pouncing on it and trying to kill what was inside the bag - she didn't quite realize it was Peaches, I think. Anyway, Peaches didn't really enjoy being jumped upon, and I was SO busy laughing I wasn't much help. The above is Peaches crawling out of the bag just as Misty pounces again. The look on Peaches' face is making me laugh every time I look at this one!

We saw a lively performance in Socorro last night. Arc Attack from Austin played a show for a few thousand students. The coils and science were awesome. I was a little disappointed with dramatic storyline and music. My feedback for Ark Attack would be more geekery less kids stuff.

Very close.

A large banquet feast was on the menu for this spider. I think this is some sort of orb spider wrapping up it's lastest banded demoiselle victim. Was rather amazing to watch, almost forgot to capture it on the camera.

This is a different view of the spider attack from the previous image.

The mallard on the right was with it's mate when the other landed about 40 feet away. The one on the right quickly swam that way and attacked as you see.
