Diefenbunker: Canada's Cold War Museum
THE CENTRAL EMERGENCY GOVERNMENT HEADQUARTERS
Irreverently known as the "Diefenbunker," this structure is a powerful symbol of Canada's response to the Cold War. Designed in the 1950s to withstand all but a direct hit by a nuclear weapon it was intended to shelter key political and military personnel during a nuclear attack. Fortunately, it never served its intended purpose, although the Diefenbunker government made plans to retreat to its protection during the Cuban missile crisis of 1962. The bunker functioned as the hub of a communications network and civil defense system until it closed in 1994.
Heartbreak hill
For the NHS 'do what you can' challenge where I was joined by my daughter Kaitlyn and her boyfriend George (all same household) on my 'Attack the Attack' walk (keeping a safe distance from the few others out and about).
This is the 11.4km walk I did around the Radnage area in Dec 2016 that led to my heart attack on the final climb back to Bledlow Ridge [peterjemmett.blogspot.com/2017/10/the-year-that-was-part-...], I have since dubbed subsequent walks and runs 'attack the attack'.

In this scene, the actor had wires clipped to her. The pulling of the wires pulling clips on her dress are to later simulate being attacked by birds. She was saying how weird it was to work on green screen because you can't see anything that will be later added digitally.
Model of Battersea Power Station (from the Animals album) and a half-scale model of a World War II German Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive-bomber for Pink Floyd - The Wall, 1982
References to World War II in The Wall album and live show were expanded in the 1982 film. In Roger Waters' semi-autobiographical narrative, the central character Pink loses his father in battle as a baby (Roger Waters lost his own father at five months old in World War II) and the filim is punctuated by stark imagery of war.

We bought Claire a cheap digital camera for Christmas - Check the wacky color and distortion. It takes some pretty great crappy photos.

If you're one of the 40 million American women between the ages of 45 and 65, there's a chance you could be having a hot flash right now. If your flushes are mild and infrequent, good for you. But if you are often going up in flames, then it could be time to check in with your doctor(drboonlim.co.uk/).
That's because science is discovering hot flashes are much more than just a sweaty sign of menopause -- their frequency or severity may also be linked to heart problems, stroke and cognitive decline later in a woman's life.
