The Warrington bombings were two separate bombing attacks that happened during early 1993 in Warrington, England. The first attack happened in February when a bomb exploded at a district pressure gas storage facility. The second attack happened in March on Bridge Street. Two small bombs exploded in litter bins outside a Boots store and a McDonald's restaurant, killing two children and injuring many other people.

"Wicked Wabbit" makes a very low simulated attack pass. This flyby was part of a demonstration that is unique to Thunder Over Michigan, in the sense that it is a battle re-enactment similar to many of the "Airpower Demos" we see today. Only this re-enactment features over 10 World War II era tanks, countless Jeeps, deuce and a halfs and other World War II era vehicles as well as participation in the air from a variety of aircraft from the era. In 2005, we had two P-47's and a single Me-109 (with an actual Daimler-Benz motor no less!) which made a ton of passes, great for photo opportunities!

Two boats were destroyed in two different fires at Norra Hammarbyhamnen last week. One floating restaurant, that later sank. You can see the remains here as the police boat is leaving. The other boat burnt the following night. That was a sailboat, where one man was saved from the fire. He was asleep when the fire started. An arson attack on the restaurant is my guess. Accident on the sailboat?
This four-spotted pennant dragonfly had been posing nicely for me on the end of the cypress stick when another one swooped in. I was lucky enough to get one shot before they were both gone.
Family and friends gather at the submarine piers at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to welcome back the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Bremerton (SSN 698) as she returns from a deployment to the Western Pacific region, May 30. Attack submarines are designed to seek and destroy enemy submarines and surface ships; project power ashore with Tomahawk cruise missiles and Special Operation Forces; carry out Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions; support battle group operations, and engage in mine warfare.
