A cool mural and piece of advertising for a tattoo establishment in Edmonton. Found if you stroll around 124th Street and Jasper Ave.
Slightly different angle. Taken with a Blackberry Curve 8520.
Advertising postcard from 1955. On the back: "Dear Customer: Ferrara does it again! Atomic Fire Balls are now available in 5 cent boxes. This item is made with the same Red Hot Flavor that makes our 1 cent Atomic Fire Balls so popular."
Dublin rockers The Mighty Atomics are no more. From the Kill That Boy video shoot (http://vimeo.com/11484792).

This artwork is a spoof on Bush hosting a July 4th birthday party for America. Through the medium of fast food-hot dogs, burgers, fries, and beer, Dubya is trying to show that he is just a regular guy, when in reality he and his policies (like the tasty food) are toxic to the American people and to America's world image
Another score....
I bought these from Oxfam about 9 years ago. They came in a chrome basket holder, but that went missing when we moved house :(
They were all of £2.99 for the set, and at a cost per smile the current total is about 50 smiles per penny. I like to imagine who owned these previously and what sort of drinks they had in them, or whether they were saved for best. And they ALWAYS make me think *soupy twist* www.youtube.com/watch?v=goZtiTM2y38

Rich and I in front of the Hiroshima atomic blast monument.
The bomb detonated about 500m above this building, and since the force of the blast was mostly downward here, a lot of the building was left standing. It's all fenced off in a 100' radius. It's an eerie place. There are weird discolourations on the walls, whick I like to think were made by those poor people being vapourized right next to them. In reality, it's probably just 60 years of nature taking its toll.
"Within 50 years, cyclotron generators like these will provide unlimited atomic energy"
Keep living the dream fellas
