I really love the way this one came out.
I used the flash on my camera to get mike's atomic eye to light up, then enhanced it with a lens flare and some painted on effects.

i've been told that we can now harness the power of the "atom". maybe one day all of its secrets will be revealed.. and be used to create a utpoia for the human race.
I believe that this is only surviving Atomic Cannon, but I could be wrong. The idea behind it was that the army wanted its own nuclear weapons program, so they modified a German 11" railroad gun design to handle the special shells and be movied by a pair of trucks. Only one live lest was ever performed, in part due to fear that the nuke might go off as it was fired. Nevertheless, the army kept a number of these in Europe, just in case they were needed against an overwhelming Soviet invasion.

It's a building that was destroyed when the atomic bomb was dropped about 160 meters far away. (the picture in the front shows how it looked like before) Today it's a monument, and also world's heritage.

A metal stand used to hold an atomic bomb in place for testing. Made of two bipods, a flashbang, and a few monopods.
The box looks pretty bad, but it's still very functional. Also includes all the paper tubes and instruction sheet.
Dated 1951, these instructions for merchant vessels in port in the event of "atomic attack" are posted in several locations aboard Red Oak Victory. The instructions were issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, and remained posted until the ship was withdrawn from service for the last time in 1968.
SS Red Oak Victory, a Boulder Victory-class cargo ship built during World War II, is the only survivor of the 747 ships built at the Kaiser Richmond Shipyards. She is one of only three surviving Victory ships, larger and faster than the earlier Liberty ships.
Launched as SS Red Oak Victory, she was named in honor of Red Oak, Iowa, a town that had suffered a disproportionate number of casualties during the war. She was then commissioned as a U.S. Navy cargo ship, USS Red Oak Victory (AK-235), serving as an ammunition ship in the South Pacific until the end of World War II.
Red Oak Victory was crewed by the U.S. Merchant Marine during activations in support of the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and several international relief operations.
Today she is a museum ship, berthed at what remains of the Kaiser Richmond shipyard.

(2019) Atomic Blast
This is a tribute art of Godzilla: King of Monsters (2019), created while binge watching HBO's Chernobyl (2019).
The blue atomic blast shooting toward the sky from the official movie poster of the new Godzilla movie, reminded me of the blue beam emitted from the explosion of Chernobyl disaster.
Indeed the terror of radiation and misinformation are much much worse than any disaster, simply because those can be invisible yet lethal, quiet but deadly .

Set a speed record of 2,070.101 mph and an altitude record of 80,257.86 ft. on May 1, 1965. The YF-12A was damaged beyond repair by fire at Edwards AFB during a landing in August 1966. The rear half was used to create a test airframe for the SR-71C. was nicknamed "The Bastard" by its pilots, as it did not fly quite straight. It is unique among the SR-71 variants as it retained the ventral fins under its nacelles.

Crash Pieces
These are actual pieces of the once top-secret YF-12A that crashed near Edwards Air Force Base, California, in June 1971. The airframe was constructed from titanium and other exotic alloys including Hastelloy-X, Waspalloy, Rene 41, and Astralloy. Part numbers and inspection stamps clearly identify the debris as parts of a Lockheed YF-12A.
X-plane Hunters Peter Merlin and Tony Moore located the crash site in July 1996 and found numerous pieces of debris with markings.
