On Zentangle.com blog (zentangle.blogspot.be/2013/12/day-5.html), Maria demonstrated black ATC tangled in gold gouache, and wrote that no pen she tried produced the same effect. Well,I think I just found a gold pen that is... perhaps not perfect, but A LOT better than any I have tried yet. It's Pilot Choose in Gold 07. Nice flow, a crisp thin consistent line, no clogging (yet), and it's much richer and much more orange-y than gold pens by Uniball Signo or Sakura. Oh, and the ink seems not to seep so much into the black tiles... This ATC is scanned, I might take a picture by daylight to better show off the colour. It's shaded with a Koh-I-Noor woodless gold pencil.
Not for trade. Made for Raid Your Stash - 10 things you loved about the 1950's challenge. The mini-scrapbook holds 10 things that happened/were popular in the 50's.
My very first ATC. A nature themed swap on swapbot. Paper collage, pastels, inked edges, mounted butterfly cutout, butterfly antennae made from dental piksters and glitter added.
Added die-cut numbers to this ATC. Tim Holtz clear Life's Possibilities - Saying printed off computer.

I usually find ATC's too small, but these were fun.
This one just fell together from bits on my table.
Toilet paper wrapper, vintage railroad ledger, map from a discarded encyclopedia, scan of a fish cigarette card.

Two embossed ATCs created for the Let's Swap ATCs group, theme EMBOSSED. Not for trade.
Rubber stamps, glue pen, embossing powder, ink, washi tape, card stock, butterfly gem, found images, and nuts from my husbands tool box for extra embellishment.
This ATC opens up into a Fairy Shrine and then closed back down into a traditional 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 ATC size for easy storage.
I used "Whimsical – Take Flight" and "Architecture" stamp sets by Blockhead Rubber Stamp for this project.
Occasionally I like to have lots of layers or movement in my ATC’s and I created this one to have both.
This ATC Shrine was made using various decorative papers, transparency film, gold webbing spray, gold leafing pen and a shrine die cut I had in my stash of fun stuff to play with.
I started with a shrine template I had on hand which I covered with decorative paper and sprayed with gold webbing. I then outlined all the edges with a gold leafing pen. Next I stamped The Iron gate pattern from the Architecture stamp set twice on transparency film and twice on a decorative green paper. I used a 1 1/4 inch circle punch to punch out the 4 decorative circles from the stamped transparencies and attached them using spray adhesive to circles I punched out of 2 different decorative papers so the inner doors and outer doors would be slightly different once assembled. (The same process was done to create the smaller circle that appears in the apex of the shrine). I then trimmed the 2 gates that were stamped on the decorative green paper close to the stamped outline and attached the transparency circles on each panel. I cut each of these gates in half and attached them to the front and back of the shrine doors. Next I stamped the fairy on decorative paper, assembled all the components onto a thick black ATC and edged it with a gold leafing pen.
This is an ATC I did for a swap I was in.
I started off with some Shimmery White cardstock and randomly sprayed Glimmer Mist on it. Then I stamped and embossed the snowflakes. The branch is actually embossed with clear over a black pigment ink pad...simply because I liked the way it looked. I then added red flocking to the berries on the branch. I added patterned paper on top of the chipboard frame and sanded the edges. The owl is stamped, embossed, colored and then cut out. And then of course I added 3D paint because apparently that is my thing. :)
Weekly challenge #95, guest challenge by Courtney Frantz: Mickey and early Walt Disney.
This time, I didn't want to participate at first, but what the heck, the challenge is all about getting out of the comfort zone! Today, the ideas started sprouting :)
This is my second Mickey-ATC, "M"-ribbon for a string, and M-cut ends of the ribbon; Mickeys buttons for the background and cartoon eyes (I call them Toon-Eyz, but basically it's just two tweaked Taghs side by side with an aura for the facial mask).
Saturday was the most recent Milwaukee Live ATC trade. Here are a bunch I got. The theme of the month was "Stitch in Time." Some people interpreted it through sewing, others contemplated time and others just did whatever. It was fun seeing everyone and hearing their stories about their ATCs.
ATCs made for the "SPoOky HaLLOweEn WiTCh Swap…with a TWIST!" at atcsforall.com
Hand drawn and colored with watercolors and markers.
Made for a fabric ATC swap with the color theme "purple." I used blackwork motifs on 22 ct evenweave. It's been at least a decade since I've done blackwork, and my eyes were rebelling at the task. Maybe I need to use a coarser weave next time... I also need to learn better edge finishing techniques (this one is merely folded under and glued).
