atc for "Wacky" swap. i was given 6 found objects and had to make an atc with each one. the object for this one was a black button that accidently broke enroute to my house via USPS. i thought it was more fun and challenging that it was broken.

I tried to get thr feeling of a Victorian Seance with this ATC.
Hence the Red plush velvet drapes and the dancing skeletons.

Had a little trouble with stitching around the edge. I will try and fix it on a different machine!

Created for an Altered Text ATC swap.
"He was a hawk, a pirate, an owl, the moon, a bat, but he had nothing."
Pen & ink drawing with acrylic wash, gel pen and sharpies on original text from an old paperback of 'Tales of the Alhambra' by Washington Irving.
In answer to Lily's question below, I first outlined my chosen text and 'path' in pencil. Then I used pen and ink to draw tiny dots over the parts I didn't want, and to sketch the owl. Then I rubbed out the pencil and added acrylic wash (carefully!)
I didn't use a mask, but I did use a white gel pen to add highlights and correct some mistakes.
This incorporates one of my favorite items (tape measure). Her eyes are covered with clear puzzle pieces. Available for trade.
Like the coloring on this one, thought of adding patterns in the mushroom cap and decorating the cup. Final will be in the book.

Created 3 scenery ATC with the layered background technique, but instead of embossing I used gesso.
The Hero Arts Art (G2678) smugded with gesso and stamped on the background. When dry enough mask a sun and created the background coloring. Added several grasses and flowers in different colors green and finaly some in black
