Finally! the step-out for a tangle based on the metalwork on LAnterns in CEntral PArk, NYC. I've used the tangle many times since mid-2013, but could not find the time to finish the step-out, until now :)
ATC for this months challenge. I used the big fern stamp and two digital butterflies printed on pp. Special day is from the Mix and Match clear set.
The poppy background is stamped with brilliance ink and kissed it with the envelope pattern stamp and after stamping clear embossed. Colored the poppies with distress inks wild honey and rusty hinge.
Stamps used:
S5507 Envelope pattern
CG140 Poppy background
CL266 Mix & Match
Jennifer Hohensteiner asked me about the step-out to the tangle Water Slide. I wanted simply to refer her to the source (the book Zen Mandalas by Suzanne McNeill, page 24), but then I realised that I do the tangle in two different ways, and neither of them is exactly like in the book. So I made these step-outs of my variations. Have fun!
Coming weekend we will have the largest (and only) stampevent of the year here in the Netherlands. Lots of stamps shops from several countries and lots of demo's and workshops.
The place to trade ATC's and meet other stampers. Looking forward to it!
I wrote a few things, that have been weighing heavy on my heart and mind, down on a piece of paper, dipped it in wax and decided to make an ATC out of it.
Life is amazing, I have so much to be thankful for, so many awesome friends. I tried to work things out on my own and finally figured out that it's okay to let this village raise me. My heart was broken but, thank God, I made it out with pieces that were not so hard to put back together.
Wings are from Hidden Vintage Studios' Sibling Rivalry kit. Found at deviantscrap.com. Face and word art are from Tumble Fish Studio. Background from Crowabout Studio B. Butterfly from Holliewood Studios.
Cut and Paste ATC traded.
Thank You!

Saw a girl today wearing a dress with what looked like white hearts pattern all over it. When I looked more closely, they were not exactly hearts... I call this simple tangle Malef - it reminds me of the letter Alef, how it got derived from a bull's head, and also of Maleficent - the shape of her face under that skullcap :)
It makes a bold filler, and increasing & decreasing the width of the bands adds to the interest. Have fun!
'Malaysian Bird 1' ATC 1/1. Encyclopedia page on birds, stamp, artline pen, sharpies, gold oil paint pen.
Sent to EJ1981.
Layered ATC made completely of polymer clay and acrylic paint. Love letters and swirls texture the background. (You can see some scribbles at the top of the card.)

ATC made from vintage sheet music machine sewn to patterned paper with added scraps of text and finished with embellishments and tiny points of glitter on the dress.
This is one of the ATC's I sent Heather. She was so lovely to organize this swap for us, i just couldn't stand the thought of her not getting to trade with someone. So this is a "thank you" ATC for her. :)
Hero Arts Stamp:

Colored the flowers with TH Distress Markers
This is a vintage scrap atc inspired by the lovely work of Martha Brown, as featured in the current Sew Somerset magazine.
I glued lots of scraps of text, adding scraps of fabric and a vintage pearl embellishment.
