The list of 46 Officers and Men who sailed from Spithead on 23rd December 1787. It includes the name of Able Seaman James Valentine who died 9th October 1788 only a few days before Bounty arrived at Matavai Bay. On Thursday the 9th (October 1788) we had the misfortune to lose one of our seamen, James Valentine, who died in the night of an asthmatic complaint. This poor man had been one of the most robust people on board until our arrival at Adventure Bay, where he first complained of some slight indisposition for which he was bled, and got better. Some time afterwards the arm in which he had been bled became painful and inflamed: the inflammation increased, with a hollow cough, and extreme difficulty of breathing, to his death. He had no Effects of any Value I therefore directed the few Shirts and Trowsers that belonged to him be given to the two Men who had attended him during his illness with great care and Affection. The Shia faith is kept alive by the Shia mother , may God endow his blessings on them, mothers who holding children at their waists, holding another child by his hand come from far flung areas to indoctrinate the child from a very age to the most important chapter of his or her life Ghame Hussain..

Without the Shia mothers selfless contribution the spiritual landscape would be utterly barren.

Through these mothers I pay tribute to my own Mother who though never took us to juloos, but fed us with stories of Imam Hussain ..

My mother was sickly asthmatic, but she always visited the Hazrat Abbas Dargah at Dongri every Thursday come rain storm or flood..

My mother had a great fear of cemeteries so I saw Chelum juloos very recently..she kept us away from cemeteries..

At Colaba Mumbai where we stayed there was hardly any Shia influence, so we had to come to Bhendi Bazar Dongri and Moghul Masjid..

Besides I had hardly any Shia friends..so all this Kaisar Bagh , Amin Imambada is quite new to me..After I took up photography as a hobby I revisited my Faith through my camera eyes..

I had scourged my back a few times a kid, but it is Habib Nassr and Baqar Nasser and their friends that recharged my inane spirituality as a Shia..they woke me up from my slumber..Yes in a way I am a new born Shia..without my friends I would have never reached this far..

I did not partake of congregational religiosity, found it stifling and claustrophobic..I was a Shia but a very private one..but than all this changed , better late than never..I was a coward far too scared of walking on fire or cutting my head, I thought it would destroy the growth of my long hair.. but this too changed..with Ghame Hussain.

Yesterday after I had shot the juloos I took a public transport to feel the discomfort, of travelling standing from Malwani to Bandra by bus.. and thus realized what Shia mothers went through coming from Mira Road and other distant areas..

Its tough being a Shia mother its a 24/7 dedication, the father too puts in his little bit but it is the Mother that keeps the Flame of our Faith alive.

So read my pictures by touching the deepest layer of my thoughts..close your eyes for a second and you might see your own mother through my pictures..

La talentuosa compositrice americana Shara Worden, alias My Brightest Diamond, arriva in Italia per un’unica data a febbraio per presentare il nuovo album This is My Hand, uscito a settembre sempre per la label Asthmatic Kitty Records.

Non molte artiste possono vantare di avere un gruppo rock, essere in grado di cantare la Terza Sinfonia di Górecki, condurre una marching band per le strade del prestigioso festival Sundance, eseguire un'opera barocca di propria composizione, e tutto in un mese. Shara Worden può.

La sua carriera poliedrica con la sua creatura My Brightest Diamond, che ha avuto inizio con l’acclamato debutto Bring Me the Workhorse nel 2006, rispecchia il suo viaggio nel mondo dell’arte. This is my hand, il suo quarto album, segna un deciso ritorno alla musica rock, con incredibile padronanza della composizione e una nuova esplorazione nell’universo elettronico.

Nata in Arkansas e poi allevata in giro per gli States, la talentuosa polistrumentista Shara Worden proviene da una famiglia di viaggiatori musicisti evangelici.

In seguito si è trasferita a NY dove ha continuato a studiare canto lirico e composizione classica.

Dopo un periodo nella band AwRY e dopo aver suonato con Sufjan Stevens, Shara ha esordito col nome di My Brightest Diamond nel 2006 con Bring Me The Workhorse, a cui è seguito A Thousand Sharks’ Teeth nel 2008, e nel 2011 All Things Will Unwind.

Negli anni di attività come MBD, Shara ha collaborato con moltissimi artisti e preso parte a diversi progetti. Nel 2008 ha lavorato con Laurie Anderson, nel 2009 è stata ospite nell’album dei Decemberists Hazards of Love e successivamente in tour con la band, per poi partecipare al progetto multimediale The Long Count di Bryce e Aaron Dessner dei The National. E’ stata poi al fianco di David Byrne nel concept Here Lies Love ed ha collaborato con Fat Boy Slim, Bon Iver, e The Blind Boys of Alabama.

Un’altra recente collaborazione l’ha vista al fianco di Matthew Barney e Jonathan Bepler nella cine-opera di 6 ore River of Fundament, girata nelle fabbriche di automobili di di Detroit, e fonte di ispirazione fondamentale per il nuovo album This is my hand. Prodotto dalla stessa Shara e dal tastierista Zac Rae, l'album è un capitolo fondamentale nella storia artistica di MBD. Quello che Shara porterà in tour è un vortice di fiati, vibrafono e synth, che rispecchia un’idea di musica capace di unire le persone, una musica per grandi spazi, non solo sale musicali e piste da ballo, ma caminetti e chiese, e prima di tutto una musica da marching band capace di coinvolgere e sollevare.

“Diamonds,” Shara sings, “so wild I cannot tame them / so shiny I cannot name them.”

Das Segelschiff mit einer Rumpflänge von fast 24 Metern hat eine Segelfläche vom 200 m². Es wurde 1904 in den Niederlanden gebaut. Seit 2009 werden auf dem Schiff Seereisen für asthmakranke Kinder veranstaltet.

The sailing ship with a hull length of almost 24 meters has a sail area of 200 m². It was built in 1904 in the Netherlands. Since 2009 voyages for asthmatic children are held on the ship.

Le voilier d'une longueur de coque de près de 24 mètres a une surface de voilure de 200 m². Il a été construit en 1904 aux Pays-Bas. Depuis 2009 voyages pour les enfants asthmatiques sont détenus à bord du navire.
