Content- A shot from the front of the statue.

I took this photo at the pond next to Mellon. I held a leaf above the water and got this surprisingly clear reflection. I like that you can see the sunlight through the holes in the leaves and see the trees up above. It's almost like an optical illusion- at first glance, it just looks like a photo of a leaf.

Here it is at f22. I think this is still a viable image (tho, I personally am in love with shallow DOF, so I like the other better). I'd crop this one too, in past the dark bar on the right...but, that said, I am not as fond of the sharpness of the light in this one...the bars of light are not adding anything to the pic and the net effect of the bars of light with the grain of the wood in the tabletop going in another direction isn't adding anything.

I liked the idea of this photo more then the actual outcome. No matter what setting I put my camera on each photo seemed to be a bit blurry, as is this one.

so...this was the first shot for this assignment...or maybe the second, after dinner was the first, right, Roger? Anyhow, I liked the play of light and color. This is f1.4, I think. I tried it at night with the chandelier light on, but it was far better the next morning with the natural light. I think I would also crop to get rid of the dark edge on the right side of the image.
