In my original idea for the slip assignment, I changed the word into an acronym, so it would stand for "Suddenly Losing Inner Peace", which is what you do when you slip!

Each word would then have a picture linked to it, but I didn't have time to complete the task with new photos, so I found old ones from the archives.

This photo represents "Suddenly".

I'm sure he really appreciates the effort that went into the lighting of this shot ...

Strobist info: SB26 in shoot through brolly camera right, to light the subject and background. Fill card CL.

Assignment-2 Change

Modern Equipment and Machinery

My entry to the assignment: fences. The picture seems to tell the story of someone trying to escape.

So for these shoot, i had to take for both last week and this week assignment. And for my project i decided to follow up with a continuation of a another shoot i had done a few years ago and that is shooting construction sites. I choose construction site because to me this is an everyday thing, however to many others it brand new. The way i shot these images were done in different angles and seeing the inside of different building before any of the walls were added. I went around and saw three different sites and worked there getting my images. Most of these are done in a abstract way because i want to show a different more artistic side to something most people take for granted. During my shoot the sun was going down so i had to play with the little light source i had to play with my ISO and Aperture as well. I was a bit of a challenge mainly because i wasnt able to take my camera inside these areas, so i had to wait until work shift was over and come in the night to get my images. I took over 119 photos but chose these 23 because these were my best for both week, plus i had a few over 13 images from some other days i had taken images but i felt these here were my stronger ones.

Assignment - lines, attempt 3. Somewhat stretching it maybe? Not sure about this one.

Running under the Belt Line, between Park Street and Rimrock Road, Madison, WI

My daughter wanted her picture taken and my son came over and got on her back to play the ham. ISO 100 50 mm f/5.6 1/200 sec. Warming of the temperature, exposure -.48, contrast +10, shadows -10, whites +5, blacks -5.

In this image I wanted to capture the juxtaposition between the calm peaceful backdrop and the liveliness of the funfair.

Today's entry for lookit! The assignment for today is "Commute". I dig how I happened to get the jogger in the shot!

Metering: Spot

I found it really strange - I thought this was pretty contrasty - window light inside, butterfly... and yet regardless of which metering mode I used all the pics turned out virtually identical... what the heck??

GAF Photography Assignment 85: Decay.

Curves in the stream at Tweeds Park, Hockessin, DE, after snowfall.

This is a memorandum for my father who passed away 4 years ago. It is the flowers from his funeral put into one of his trains he had. He used to work for the railroad. For the feeling part I should have made it darker but instead I put it up on a pedestal in my living room and tried to make it look like something in a display case. I used lights to shine on it from the front. This was ISO 200, 60 mm, f/ 5.6, 1/30 sec. I sharpened it a little more, added tint, and added less exposure as well as light and dark.

Had some fun with shading. XD

Still doing some touch ups, but this was super fun, and super easy. Which was good, because I'm in a strangely anti-editing mood today.

Anyway. Assignment 25 for Paparazzi at Scribbler's Abode. XD
