Situated along Bishop Creek just before Aspendell is a beautiful grove of aspen trees in a wetland area. During the late afternoon, the lighting on the trees is spectacular during the fall season. This photo is from our fall road-trip of California's Eastern Sierra in 2017.

We get so lost in our world of everyday events and being busy sometimes we have to remember to JUST BREATHE. This beautiful Aspen forest early in the morning is a wonderful place for me to do just that!

The calendar says Fall, but here in NC, we're still in the 80s. I'm really looking forward to some cooler weather and fall colors and hoping to get out to the mountains for at least a couple trips...
This one's from my trip 2 years ago to Colorado and the San Juan Mountains. It's a "classic" shot of Aspen trees I guess, but one I had to find for myself.
No clouds for sunrise, they showed up later in the day, but it was still a pretty morning. You can see across the lake where the light is just hitting the Aspens is where the previous post was shot.

Whenever I visit the Telluride area I make sure to visit this location along the Last Dollar Road. Never Disappoints!
Rain and gentle wind is not for everyone. But last night's sprinkles and the larger and more fully developed aspen leaves brought me peace in these tumultuous times.
No need to comment. I will have one of these printed large to affix to my bathroom mirror for the forest fire season(s).
*The pink/red hues come from new leaves on the maple trees.
While driving from Ouray, through Silverton to Durango along the Million Dollar Highway, few years back, came along this stand of Aspens at full peak colors. Had to pull over and get a shot. Colors that year were incredible, and timed my visit there perfectly. Both Ouray and Durango were awesome, fun places!

Happy Moose Monday. A good size bull moose down by the river in the fall. The light was low and coming almost directly at the camera making the exposure on the moose a bit difficult, but it made the willow trees really glow. Hope you like it. Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA, October 2024

Even with the smoke haze from California wildfires, there was still some shadows cast that late morning across the nearby hillsides and mountains. I felt it added some depth to the forest of trees to my front.
The late afternoon sun streams through the forest of spruce and aspen to highlight the lush green undergrowth that is decorated with wild flowers in the Colorado Rockies.
The forest holds many secrets. In fact, in parts of the forest you can see the trees dance. They very slowly sway to the soft music of their leaves rustling in the breeze. At least that is what I imagined as I stood before these lovely curved trees.
