A found Cabinet of wood with open and semi-closed doors to display some favourite objects d'art!. Someone put it into the basement of our building, I guess when they moved out. We liked it and I spent a bit of time cleaning it up with Lemon Oil and got any nicks and scratches out, so it looks like new again.
One of the windows in our neighbourhood had this sign in the window; a nice encouragement for the time we are living through. It was probably made by an artistic child.
On the northwest edge of the city of Groningen, located at the Reitdiep, is the new marina "Reitdiep"
The color beauty of the Rainbow house in the marina close to Reitdiephaven attracted my sense to captured.

Sometimes you see people who love to decorate outside, both front and back, as in this instance. It really looked nice.
This Chinese porcelain figurine of an acrobat makes a fine little candle holder. This photo is lit entirely by candle light.
Wooden Seagulls on a cute wood structure in the kids section of our local park. Usually live seagulls sit on top also, but this time it was a crow deciding if he should stand on the platform.
We have places specially designed in our park to give people a chance to paint outside without too much disturbance. I don't care much to do this, but it is a nice idea. People will stand around and watch you, but I like my privacy too much. We do have Festivals where our art can be displayed, as well as in two local galleries. But if you are not considered a BC Artist, it is difficult to get accepted. I did all my art work and showings and selling them back in Montreal and now really have no time as I do my photos instead. I tried to submit photos once but got rejected as the galleries wanted only black and white and I was past that stage. It also costs to display if accepted and everything must be framed. I prefer Flickr uploads to show my work.
This cute frog statue had a little visitor sitting on his right eye. Found him in one of the Gardens in West Vancouver, sitting in a bowl of rain water. I guess it is a measure of a given amount of rain at any one time, like another rain forecaster.
I've always been fascinated with rocks, particularly their colours and structure. I used to bring them home from the beach when I was younger. They are like nature's art forms in sculptural shapes and the variety of shapes, colours and patterns are amazing.
I photographed this beautiful little metal rabbit this morning using a Yongnuo manual flash in an 8.6 inch Lastolite soft box positioned at camera left. Fill light is from a hand held mirror at camera right. The flash and my tripod mounted camera were triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603N.
Other plants, flowers, fruit or thingys that I've photographed using strobes can be seen in my Strobe Lit Objects album. For each image in the set, and there are over 2000 of them, I describe how I set up the lighting for that particular shot. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157628079460544/
Sadly the frog that used to sit in this bird bath for many years at a local garden is now gone. He's been replaced with the figure of a little stone angel. I miss the frog but I think he got destroyed over the years, most likely due to vandalism.
I found a small patch of Lilly of the Valley flowers, which were my Mom's favourites. They are amongst mine also as they have the loveliest scent. I picked just two stalks to put in a cobalt blue vase with wood sculpted tulips, in my kitchen, so I could enjoy them all day. I've had the bunny for years and the Russian doll opens to make ever smaller ones; it was given to me by one of my best friends in BC who comes from Russia.
Wishing all my many Flickr Friends a Very Happy Easter.
NB: I made this card out of a German Wood Ornament which always hangs on my Christmas Tree. Since one doesn't put a tree up at Easter, it seemed strange but so made a card for Easter from it.
Painting of a mushroom on local sidewalk near the Grocery Store was done in 3D and was quite effective. It was part of the 2016 Summer's Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver, BC.
Wishing all my Flickr Friends a very Happy & Great New Year. Have some fun too like this polar bear & his friends. Taken at Cactus Gardens in Henderson/Las Vega Area.
There's nothing like the natural effects of snow on the branches of a Blue Spruce tree and it's own decorations of cones.
Someone gave this sculpture a bit of a bash on the left side. Shame that people vandalize things. This was outside of a restaurant.
Across from our Apartment Building is a Care Centre and it seems some of the Residents there must have been inspired to make these fake stone ladybugs. They look really cute along the steps next to the red begonias in the front garden.
Saw this one in downtown Vancouver. It was lit up in the evening and was very colourful with the lights and sparkling water reflections.
There were decorated Christmas trees everywhere in our local areas. This was one of the most beautiful ones with lights and Christams ornaments; it was displayed inside in front of the window of one of our local Banks.
I wish all my many Flickr Friends a Very Merry and Joyful Christmas, with love and affection; you are the greatest of friends to have.
I liked how someone took the beautiful red petals from the Carmillia tree and decorated this old tree stump sculpture. These petals had fallen to the ground and they used them to decorate an old tree stump which was kept as a piece of nature's art. Well done by someone and for us to enjoy.
Saw this at one of our local Art Galleries which had a Christmas Wreath around their clock above the door, complete with coloured lights and a red ribbon.
This is the Energizer Bunny that advertises the well known brand of batteries. I just think he is so cute and some of the ads are amazing. A few years ago he went through the Bermuda Triangle in one of their ads and came out on the other side; I think that was the best one I have ever seen. I think they should sell the Pink Bunny as a stuffed toy. I had a tiny model of it, but can't find it now. These ads appear regularly on TV.
The AD of course says "Energizer" but I just changed it because I think we all need to do this as I guess most of us have been a bit too homeward bound due to the Pandemic!!
..... and you should see my sister, ha, ha! This display for Halloween was found in a big local store which shows off many kinds of decor and decorations. I liked the caption, but it really DOES NOT REFER TO MY DEAR SISTER!
This is a large box that covers electrical utilities in our park areas. All the boxes are decorated differently and are make to look beautiful. Close to my place, it's my favourite one. As you can also see, the utility box and contents sit on a concrete slab high enough off the ground to protect it from ground water during the heavy rains.
Couldn't resist capturing these 2 little stuffed toys sitting on a bed to use as a Happy Valentine's Card to all my Flickr Friends. I hope you will have a wonderful and happy, loving day.!
NB: These little bears were sitting on my brother's bed for decoration. It will always remind me of him; he has Alzheimers, is almost 92 and in an East End Hospital in Montreal. We try to visit him as often as we can.
New Group Gift ❤️

This cute little balloon figure seems to be wishing you to come in and see what's inside. The outdoor decorations are all very ingenious and cute.
Artisanal origin (19th century): made of smooth iron and fixed in the rock with an eyelet that made it rotatable. It was used to ensure that horses, donkeys and mules could stop without escaping at a time when the world moved to the rhythm of their steps.
Thank you very much for the comments , favorites and views ❤️
I've had these little angels for a long time, used them as a good luck charm in my first own Condo home in Montreal years ago. So here they are again; they sit on a side table with a lamp. I hope that in reality angels will look after all of us at this terrible time with the Coronavirus. Stay home as much as possible, stay safe, everyone, please!
One of my first original oil paintings, done on board, showing an outdoor scene in BC. My son has this one.
I have slides of all my photos EXCEPT for the huge 4'x5' Abstract photos on Canvas that I did for University in the US. May try to sell them some day. All are COPYRIGHT PROTECTED, no photos or any other type of copy exist.
