Practice Your E-Learning Animation Skills using Rube Goldberg Machines. In Storyline 360 and Storyline 3, you can trigger actions to occur when two objects intersect or collide.
For example, you might show a layer when a character moves along a motion path and intersects with a doorway. Just set your trigger to occur when the object intersects.
What Is A Rube Goldberg Machine?
Rube Goldberg was a cartoonist who drew complicated machines and contraptions built from ordinary objects that completed simple tasks. Want an example? Here’s how you can light a bulb with a Rube Goldberg machine:

Free Standing Articulating Jib Cranes are for applications that demand an Articulating Jib, but lack the walls or columns needed to mount the crane. These cranes offer rotation when positioning loads in a work cell, through open doorways, or into machines. These Jib Cranes provide a rapid return on investment through increased productivity, reduced injuries and improved safety. Increases in production result from the ease of rotation of the boom and quick precise load positioning. Injuries are reduced and safety improved since only a low force of movement is required to start and stop the boom rotation.

21-pendulum entropophone
175 aluminium cans, concrete, timber, string
dimensions variable
see the video here
This unique kinetic-acoustic sculpture/instrument redeploys 175 discarded aluminium drink cans to create a suspended array. The piece can be activated by visitors, by gently pushing any of the 21 grey and yellow pendulums ( made from smaller drink cans filled with concrete).
The instrument produces atonal clattering cascades, rhythmic pulses and ephemeral melodic sequences that gradually decay to the silence of equilibrium.
Heard from nearby, the sounds are reminiscent of distant moored boats, wandering farm animals, a forest gamelan or temple bells, and if the listener brings their ears close to the hanging cylinders the sound is suddenly experienced as surprisingly rich, resonant and complex.

Copyright activist, speaker, teacher (how about ’speacher’…or ’spreacher’), columnist, novelist, short story writer, co-editor of Boing Boing, and the very manifestation of articulate dynamism, Cory Doctorow was in town recently to promote his novel Little Brother (free download here), a fast paced, current-day 1984-like polemic calling for teens to subvert security measures, especially those used by governments that claim to "defend my freedom by tearing up the Bill of Rights.”
As Austin Grossman puts it in the New York Times:
MY favorite thing about “Little Brother” is that every page is charged with an authentic sense of the personal and ethical need for a better relationship to information technology, a visceral sense that one’s continued dignity and independence depend on it: “My technology was working for me, serving me, protecting me. It wasn’t spying on me. This is why I loved technology: if you used it right, it could give you power and privacy…Little Brother argues that unless you’re passably technically literate, you’re not fully in command of those constitutionally guaranteed freedoms — that in fact it’s your patriotic duty as an American to be a little more nerdy."
I’m clearly not nerdy enough… incarcerated I am in fact by technological illiteracy…incapacitated too…neither machine I used to record my conversation with Cory worked for the full duration of our encounter…they did however capture enough, thankfully, to provide his engaging take on the future of the book…and mention of a guy with a lemon up his nose. This is where one begins articulating and defying gravity by thinking light. The dark streak in front of me is a 4' tall rock wall just under the surface. Get past it and you hit a sweet hot spot of joy or despair da da da da, the inside bowl.. When there is an inside bowl. When there is all of the water left is sucked into face and drains out in front of you. It is an excellent time to burn it a new asshole and make it...
The light articulates across the frosty morning terrain and melts my heart with its warmth and beauty

The interview with Helen Zille was truly an imspiration. She is articulate, well informed, and a formidable political leader. Whilst I have not been a supporter of the Democratic Alliance, Mrs Zille made very clear, convincing arguments, answering our questions with ease.
In this photo you'll see Graham Power (sharing some facts from the www.unashamedlyethical.com website), Mrs Helen Zille, and our sound guy Chris.
I still lean a little further left in my political opinions, BUT I left the meeting with a sense of humility at having met one of the great people of our age! I shall be praying for Helen! I'm truly grateful that she has signed a commitment the being unashamedly ethical! Keep your eyes on our website for more details.

Bryan Kreutz and Lili Fox-Lim welcome Bonnie Gordon for a two-part interview. Bonnie Gordon showcases some of her voices. She articulates that voice acting gives her tons of freedom to try all different types of characters. Bonnie talks about being cast in a 1920s radio play called Tales of the Extraordinary. Bonnie talks about her time in 2014 on the ABC Network reality show called "Quest." set in a fantasy realm complete with characters and creatures that would be perfectly at home in any fantasy tale adventure. Gordon goes on to say her reality series is better than the reboot because it was adults and the first show of its kind while being shot by the same producers of Lord of the Rings. Creating her own character Bonnie Gordon discusses the very popular the Star Trek Table-top role-playing game (TTRPG) show using Star Trek adventures. She says they're all up on YouTube and about four hours long. Being a voice actor and a Trekkie, she called everyone she knew to try and get on the new animated show Star Trek: Prodigy and gives a shout out to the Hageman brothers, Dan and Kevin. Gordon talks about pulling every string she could just to get an audition including auditioning for a lead role. Being a huge fan of "Mama Troi", Bonnie discusses in great detail her USS Protostar Starfleet ship's computer voice is very different from Majel Barrett's. Furthermore, she initially asked if she was to mimic Barrett's and they said "no". Bonnie states she can't wait for people to see season 2 of Star Trek: Prodigy on Netflix. She says it's so good. Now that they made it to Starfleet, it can now be more like Star Trek.
Monster Claradolly is emotionally complicated and is often times misunderstood. She doesn't articulate words; instead, she expresses herself with physical gestures and grunts. When Monster Claradolly gets upset she throws tantrums. She gets particularly upset when people ignore her or don't understand what she wants. Monster Claradolly means well, but she doesn't always know the best way to communicate her intentions. She is very strong, and sometimes tries to push people aside when they're in her way. Monster Claradolly doesn't like to have her photograph taken because she is very self conscious about her looks. She is also very nervous about meeting new dollies; it usually takes her a long time to warm up to them. Monster Claradolly loves to get messy, when she gets paint all over her from painting she thinks it's really fun. Monster Claradolly also has very sensitive teeth, and doesn't like to eat or drink things that are too cold. She often times has trouble sleeping at night, and hides when she gets upset.
I don't give a hoot for the esoteric meaning, for the myth behind the moth... What we have to study is the joy of the eye.
