participative kinetic sound art installation I made for the group exhibition 'Sound Thinking' at Articulate project space, sydney august 2014
the work comprises a large pencil drawing and 5 slinkys, each attached to a stainless steel dish suspended from ceiling rafters...
visitors are invited to activate the slinkys by touching, hitting and swinging - the slinkys produce unusual metallic reverberant sounds, amplified by the metal dish and wooden rafters...
the work is defiantly analogue and acoustic - no electrical energy required...
the pencil drawing presents selected text from the wikipedia page on the slinky including an equation describing the physics of a dangling slinky, reference to a 1959 work using amplified slinky by john cage, and an external link to the university of sydney where slinky research is taken seriously (apparently)...
in the broader conversation of art, the work relates to lineages of kinetic sculpture, serial minimalism, arte povera, non-traditional instrument making, and sound art...
The XF5U with its special, wide-cord, articulating propellers installed. Note the winged Vought logo on the propellers. The purpose of the bottles under the fuselage is not clear. The aircraft used compressed air for emergency extension of the landing gear and tail hook. Perhaps that system was being tested. Note that the inner main gear doors have been removed.

The Horizontal Zwiss Plate expands upon our standard Zwiss Plate by adding even more mounting options. With the addition of our Minimount (via three 10/32 screws – included) the Zwiss plate can now be mounted horizontally on 15mm lightweight (60mm spaced) rails. This keeps a low profile kit and is great for tripod use. Now, all four quick release lever controlled rod ports are available to hold your accessories.
You can add rods, articulating arms, and even two of our Wireless Plate Pros to hold audio receivers or transmitters. The Zwiss plate is covered in 3/8 16” and ¼ 20” holes to mount threaded accessories. It also comes with the necessary screws to mount a V-mount or 3-stud/gold mount battery plate or the Aja Ki Pro Mini. One side of the plate takes the battery plate and the other can take the Aja. You can mount the Minimount to either side in order to use whichever side you need for your accessories. The Horizontal Zwiss Plate can also be mounted vertically in order to use both sides of the plate or for balance with shoulder mounted kits.

I'm pretty sure I can't quite articulate how amazing today really truly was. In the morning, we went out to breakfast with Alli, Claire and Sophia, Ariel, Jessica and Alex Swain and whenever I think about it I start laughing. We decided to try to make it annual, because next year everyone will have college stories to tell. I'm lucky I have such amazing friends... and Alli's gift of a cereal bowl and chapstick pretty much shows how much they know me.
After we stuffed ourselves, Soph and I went to visit our 94 year old neighbor, Jeanne, who was in a very sarcastic and hilarious mood. My family took a long hike in Brighton, went to Chinese Delight for dinner, and met Claire and Sophia at St. Agnes for the 9:30 Christmas Eve mass. My mom and I did a good job reading, I think.
Overall, I don't see how today could have been any better.
This very articulate gentleman was performing a patriotic piece of prose outside The Bishop's Palace in Wells. This frozen moment makes him look like a deranged pensioner taking a stick to the young girl!

A ZUD 1/4" 20 is used to retrofit your existing articulating arm, giving you Zacuto Z-Release (quick release) action on one or both ends of the articulating arm. ZUDs are now all black. ZUDs convert your 1/4" 20 or 3/8" 16 screws to 15mm rods, thus allowing them to fit into Zacuto Z-Release components like Z-mounts, 15mm Z-locks, ZicroMounts and all other Zacuto 15mm locking devices.
An additional feature of a ZUD; any Zacuto male rod can screw into the end of the ZUD allowing you to create an extension to your articulating arm. The articulating arm is not included.

had my first exhibition, gharbzadegi, at cafe domus, which ran till 9september, 2006.
revolving around the themes of critical theory, it specifically challenges the articulators of vernacular architecture and questions the possibility of 'speaking for a mute orient' or even to articulate an aesthetic not from a position of dominion.

An articulate engineer allowed me to determine this train's symbol. CSX engineers identify their lead engine, symbol (including date of origin), location and track - often too quicly to pick out the one piece of information that I need. Another aspect of making CSX harder to chase is that their detectors have weak signals.
So this is 485, an ethanol train coming up Greggs Hill east of Piketon OH

We are professional Articulating Boom Lift manufacturer and supplier in China. We can produce towable articulating boom lift according to your requirements. There are two types of Articulated boom lifts platform: Diesel Articulating Boom Lift and Battery Articulating Boom Lift.
Diesel Articulating Boom Lift
1. Complete Safety Devices: Standard four-link weighing devices; measures such as overload protection, automated detection device for detecting platform amplitude and height, automatic control of the movement speed and traveling speed of the boom lift, and high-precision weighing devices, to ensure the safety and stability of operation in all directions.
2. Control box: Full proportional control handle and CAN bus as well as PLC control system with high positioning accuracy are easy to be controlled and can be operated by the users at will.
3.Traveling System: The closed running system consisting of electro-proportional variable pump, hydraulic control variable motor and flow distribution valve can gain relatively high movement speed and relatively low and stable running speed. The system works efficiently and generates less heat.
4. Hydraulic System: Closed running system, speed easily to be adjusted, wide speed range; the boom's hydraulic system adopts double valve core circuit, which enhances the safety. The hydraulic components adopt European and American pure brands.
