This article in a 1929 newspaper has been under the vintage linoleum of a long-empty attic apartment in Warwick, NY. I am sure being beneath oilcloth for decades has helped preserve this paper.

Twitter is a dumpster fire I was writing a book in the tags… but I like this article, and I’m sorry Lindy left. However the assumption everyone can just up and leave twitter in a show of solidarity is erroneous. @Karnythia pointed out that she can’t leave yet in a thread, and I’m guessing a lot of POC, disabled, LGBTQIA, other folks can’t just up and go because of the networking we do. The opportunities that come because of twitter connections. So while it’s a good idea in theory, for a lot of us it’s not practical to just dump twitter and go. That’s the thing…too many of us can’t just leave. The last vestiges of the concept that “the internet” and “real life” are separate need be abandoned and we should all face reality. This IS real life, and this is what too many people have allowed real life to become.

I was recently asked by a couple of media / freelance writers if they could use my photographs of the Christina Aguilera concert in support of an article they were writing. I freely gave permission, looking forward to seeing my images in a published magazine, simply asking that I was credited as the photographer.
A few days later I was surprised and pleased to find one of my images was on the cover of the magazine, with several more used inside (6 images altogether). My initial pleasure quickly turned to sadness and disappointment, as I was not credited for the cover, or for any of the other images. I felt cheated. Needless to say, of course, the "writers" were fully credited, including a plug to a new web-radio programme they intended producing, and contact details. (I don't think I can hold the mag. responsible - they may have been unaware of the photographer).
It is pleasing to see one's work published, and exposed to a wider audience, but be warned: make it very clear what your terms are. Preferably, in writing.
I won't give up my day job just yet!

The six-page article covers questions about long-distance collaboration and the way of designing type faces together. It also shows some very nice examples of various available TT typefaces. Erratum, unfortunately the publisher did not properly mark the poster showing Edita, as being designed by Pilar Cano, and apologises for the mistake.
