A day in the city! Glenn and I drove into the city and went to visit Terri Ventura at Tinsel Trading, and we had so much fun. To my surprise a class was going on with Charlotte whose works are beautiful. You must check out her blog at: housewrenstudio.typepad.com

Terri is a brilliant designer, she's wearing a necklace that she made, it was gorgeous!

please visit her blog at: www.dimestoedaze.typepad.com

If you are in the city(New York City) Tinsel Trading hosts wonderful classes with amazing instructors, stop by their website or terri's for blog for details.

I have to start blogging more, I have slacked off, so I'll start with this day in the city later today!

Hugs!

Lisa!

Charcoal drawing is a well-recognized media. Very professional looking black-white images can be drawn just with a little chunk of charcoal and eraser. It’s like making abstract photos without using computer. Charcoal is also a good way of learning gray gradients and lighting techniques. But many people wondered how those images are made to look so cool with just a piece of charcoal.

1994, at Grounds for Sculpture, a facility founded by Johnson, is a sculpture named to flaunt his disdain for criticism of his copies of the iconic works of fine art artists with international recognition, representing the fine artist, Manet, whose work he has copied.

This is two sculptures combined.

It consists of a sculpture of the artist Claude Monet as he paints the sculpture by Johnson entitled If It Were Time, which is in turn based on Monet’s painting entitled Terrace at Sainte-Adresse.

Dave, an Educator from Squam Lake Natural Science Center, gives a "Natural Encounters" talk at the Currier Museum Art Center the last week of summer camp, in August 2012, about threatened and endangered New Hampshire animals. The Art Center students, ranging in age from 5-12, created bat "lanterns" that they then sold at the conclusion of this week-long art camp to help raise money for Bat Conservation International. The event raised a little over $400 for this non-profit.
