Dave, an Educator from Squam Lake Natural Science Center, gives a "Natural Encounters" talk at the Currier Museum Art Center the last week of summer camp, in August 2012, about threatened and endangered New Hampshire animals. The Art Center students, ranging in age from 5-12, created bat "lanterns" that they then sold at the conclusion of this week-long art camp to help raise money for Bat Conservation International. The event raised a little over $400 for this non-profit.

The last day of Wandering Mist art camp with loved ones was a great way to end this lovely journey.
Each participant left their hand prints for others. At the end of the day, each one of us had hand prints of all our friends.

This was a great introduction to the world of robotics. Everyone learned to create a basic circuit, what a short circuit is, how to mount and power a motor to create a one-of-a-kind moving robot and then the invention and creativity took hold. Even the on lookers had to get in on the action! Great job Ben Finio, Maria Christopher and Daymaker Lavon! — at Soha SMART.
