Visited Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba for four days. Each day we walked a different hiking path. This is from the Arrowhead Trail.

Wondering around the back areas and creeks of rural north Iowa. It's too early for fox pups, or wild flowers, but fun to hike areas that I normally can't access during the heavy snow.
It's Mount Valley Township, where sod houses and rough log cabins once dotted the landscape in the mid to late 1800's. Walk the freshly plowed spring fields, and you may also find arrowheads!

BNSF 8098 leads a long westbound intermodal train as it continues the long climb out of Needles, California at Milepost 595 on the Needles Subdivision on March 9, 2018.
From Trail Ridge Road (visible here as a thin trace on top of the ridge on the opposite side of Forest Canyon), one can spot Arrowhead Lake sitting in a glacial cirque, but from that vantage point, its shape cannot be discerned. So, after descending Mt. Ida's summit proper, I went off-trail and traversed a ridge to the northeast for about a mile to this vantage point, and voila! Behold the arrowhead!

The massive, let agile and attractive, Arrowhead Spiketail (Cordulegaster obliqua obliqua) males working Spiketail Creek could not bring more joy to my soul.
These Maryland listed threatened species (S2) are not at all common on the Refuge and the adults are only on the wing during the first couple weeks of June.

In wall reliefs, pharaohs were often depicted fighting bravely on the battlefield and skillfully handling the bow and arrow. Indeed the arrow as an object saw immense development during Dynastic Egypt both in terms of materials and shape. These arrowheads were of the types most commonly used during the Late Period. They were made of bronze and had a shape resembling a willow leaf.
The last dynasties of ancient Egypt were very warlike. These arrows are from the 26th dynasty when Psamtek I conquered Egypt back to the Egyptians from the conquerors of the 25th dynasty who came from Nubia.

The "Arrowhead" ship from "The Freemaker Adventures" (kit 75186) reminds me of a Galaxy Explorer, so I built a 918 to go with it. Like conventional 918s, it has a small cargo space behind the seat. I'd like to build a 924 and a 926 base to go with the Arrowhead, too.
The steep scree slope combines with its own reflection to approximate an arrowhead shape pointed at the distant mountains. Chilko Lake landscape on the Cariboo Chilcotin coast.
We later encountered a large male Grizzly on the base of the slope on our way back.

Swarms of these heavily armed bikes, piloted by faceless enforcers, are ruling the city.
This is the landing shuttle/tender craft for my SHIP, the Arrowhead. It is mainly meant for surface excursions while the Arrowhead remains in orbit, as it does not have the reserve fuel to perform multiple landings and surface launches to orbit.
