I think these are both arrowhead blues. The one on the left definitely is. I don't have a photo of the underside of the one on the right, so I'm not so sure.
There were several large butterfly puddles at the top of Swakane Canyon Rd. They attracted 100's of butterflies, moths, bees, ant and various other insects. It was quite spectacular.

A week and a half ago, the Richmond woods were full of lovely orb webs and oddly-shaped orbweavers. Mostly they were Micrathena species, but we saw a couple of these Arrowhead Orbweavers as well. This one spread her arms when she saw me coming over to check her out.

Macro Mondays - Arrow
This is an arrowhead my grandfather found in his field in southern Manitoba, Canada. It is made out of a translucent stone. You can see the beveled edges on it.
He gave it to me when I was a little child. HMM

Arrowhead Ranch is a dude ranch in the Borscht Belt near Liberty. It has not been open in many years.
Unfortunately, Iceland's most photogenic place is not always so photogenic in winter, as the Kirkjufellsfoss and Kirkjufellsá freeze over quickly. The water only flows under the ice and can no longer be seen; the snow-covered landscape in front of the mountain actually looks like a large, closed snowfield. I hope that one day I will find freshly fallen snow here without a frozen waterfall.
Thicker clouds and only slight northern lights activity were forecast for this evening. Since weak northern lights are often not visible very high in the sky, I specifically looked for a subject that would allow a view of the horizon.
