Dozens of Army Reserve soldiers provided support to participants in the World’s Toughest Mudder 2013 event at Raceway Park Nov. 16-17 in Englishtown, N.J.

The Commanding General’s 2018 Spring Company Commanders Staff Ride took place over 12-14th March and visited the Historical First World War battle sites around Liege, Belgium and Verdun, France.

 

The Mission of the staff ride was to provide selected Junior Officers a professional development opportunity that was highlighted by senior officer mentoring.

 

During the staff ride participants were able to walk the terrain of actual battle sites to discuss and examine tactical decision making and the evolution of those tactics as the war progressed. Participants also analyzed the American Expeditionary Forces involvement during the war and gained a greater appreciation of the human dimension of soldiering.

 

The sites visited included the forts of Barchon and Douamont as well as war memorials such as Voie Sacree, Montfaucon and Montsec as well as the American Cemeteries.

The displays were set up during a Texas-style barbecue dinner welcoming soldiers, student athletes and musicians, and their families. 5th Platoon, class 017-18 Drill Sergeant Leaders train and test the drill sergeant candidates on their knowledge of modules at the USADSA PT field, Aug 23. Drill Sergeant candidates must be able to pitch and demonstrate modules, the DSLs complete a workbook and forms after every testing event. This helps DSLs track the progress of the candidates.

U.S. Army Drill Sergeant leaders welcomed 126 new drill sergeant candidates to the USADSA Jan 31, 2019. 126 of the most qualified NCOs were chosen to attend Drill Sergeant School, where they will now train to fulfill the role of utmost importance—the role of a Drill Sergeant. The 5th platoon vanguard candidates are currently in the red phase of the Drill Sergeant Academy Course.
