The images in the various galleries come mostly from my photo collection, gathered over the past 40+ years. They are a combination of my own shots and others acquired over those years through trading, purchasing, and attending conventions.
This photostream was created in 2017 for the sole purpose of holding my photo collection as an archive, and has had over 10 million image views (to 2022)

I recently unearthed an old CD of slide scans from about ten years ago. The photographs are of cacti and other succulents from my collection, friends' collections, Botanica in Wichita, and a few from elsewhere in Kansas and Oklahoma. I'll post them as I edit them.
Lerwick - Shetland Isles
Another day, another archive shot. This one from our trip to Shetland last year. On our last day, we had a long wait for the 7pm ferry from Lerwick back to Aberdeen. We visited a number of sites and for some strange reason landed up opposite Lerwick Fire Station. Those who know us will get the significance of that fact.
Aside from the grey seal shots, one of which I've previously posted, we got quite a few of this character who was busy amongst the rocks and really unfazed by our presence.
Thanks to all who take the time to comment or mark as a favourite.

From my archives:
The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, subsequently the Armand Auclerc Weston State Hospital, was a Kirkbride psychiatric hospital that operated from 1864 until 1994 by the government of the U.S. state of West Virginia, in the city of Weston. The hospital was bought by Joe Jordan in 2007, and partly opened to tours and other money raising events for its restoration. The hospital's main building is one of the largest hand-cut stone masonry buildings in the United States, and, as Weston Hospital Main Building, was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1990.

Illustration 6 in THE LIBRARY SERIES
I did 9 interviews for the national libraries with young people about their ideal library. The 21-year old boy here was a film student and wanted an old dusty movie archive, a screening room and movie reels and old books.
