Being a bit restricted in my photography at the moment due to a trapped nerve I had a rummage through my archives and found this "experimental" shot taken 12 months ago.

Obviously, the mud cobra field does
not look like this at the present time.
It's under a meter of, swamp water!
Now think of it like this - In a couple
of months it will be back to looking
like this and I too will be back here.
See just how quick that 1/2 full glass
turned into a full glass of cool water.

This gloomy dreary dark grey and rainy weather shows no sign of letting up any time soon, so hitting the archives for unposted shots.
Male Wood Duck.
Hawk Owl (Surnia ulula), perched on the woods edge in the aspen parkland region south of Opal, Alberta, Canada.
There have been few sightings of Hawk Owls and Great Grey Owls in the area despite intensive searches by the owl banding group.
Hopefully as winter progresses we will start to see more birds in their regular area.
