QUICK REMEMBERED WITH DONATION TO ARCHIVES On Apr. 19, Alice Quick (holding book), and her son Andrew Quick (second from left), visited the Bayfield Archives Room on Main Street to present the Bayfield Historical Society (responsible for the archives) with $5,000 for their memorial fund in honor of husband and father Jim Quick. He had also donated a collection of postcards to the society and was a regular volunteer at the archives. Joining the Quicks on their visit were l-r: Ralph Laviolette, archivist, Ilsa Gemeinhardt and Phil Gemeinhardt, program director; Binnie Sturgeon, collector exhibition director; Elaine Sturgeon, Carol Thornley-Hall, society president; Judy Keightley, vice-president; Gwen Patterson, secretary; and Jerry Smith, treasurer. They were found in a loft stored as film rolls, labelled with locations and dates, in a box.
The people in the photos are not known.
