Today was raining buckets, so I decided to rummage through my archives. In October I captured this Sandhill Crane preening, at the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge. I haven't seen any except a few in flight recently. I may have to go to Woodland Bottoms to find them grazing in the fields?

this week in 2008, my mom was in town for a few days. we had a good time shopping, wandering around central park and ogling the striped steps at moma.

Courtyard of the Archive: Cordoban baroque. The most internal of all the courtyards, built in the 18th century and an example of the most sober Cordoban Baroque. The mezzanine guards the palace's valuable historical archives. The discreet landscaping is designed not to break up the harmony of the whitewashed walls and the set of blue doors and windows. The tiled fountain adds a touch of colour to the area.
