The harvester ant's nest is an architectural master piece. It's built on a slope with only one entrance in the centre. They build the fortress like structure with mud and their saliva in such a way that rain water cannot enter the nest. They forage grain, dehusk them (see husk on top right.) and then store them in the three layered nest38 to 50 cm below the surface. strangely enough the young ones do not feed on the grain. They thrive on the fungus that grows on the seeds!

I've been preparing a few free-hand drawings and sketches to *crosses fingers* hopefully make it into an architecture master's program. This is one of them. Sorry the photos are a little fuzzy. It is a picture of a picture in a dark room.
It's been 4 or so years since I've really drawn, and I've mostly been focused on photography. I've missed creating things from scratch.
