Constructed in 1930. The county also maintains records for the Independent City of Bedford.
After Highgate I headed back to the Natural History museum in Kensington to buy some drinking chocolate (they had some nicely packaged slabs of it in the gift shop that I figured would be ideal for gifts). I paused to take some pics of the building's amazing architecture on my way.
These look kind of like Griffons. They can't be, but that's what they resemble.

I have decided that it is always worth looking up at Woolworths frontages. Many are not art deco, but a significant number of them is. I especially like this one, at Herne Bay. Was there once a flagpole in the centre? The ubiquitous buddleiea growing out of the roof!

Built in 1893, The dock office at Barry was built by David Davies to regulate the substantial coal exporting trade which had grown to world prominence in the town. It still stands glorious today, now used by the local council.
