Das Benediktinerkloster Stift Melk liegt in Niederösterreich bei der Stadt Melk am rechten Ufer der Donau. Der heutige (Barock-)Bau wurde in den Jahren 1702–1746 von Jakob Prandtauer errichtet. Als Wahrzeichen der Wachau gehört es zum UNESCO-Welterbe.
Original de los siglos XII y XIII que, a pesar de las sucesivas reformas sufridas en siglos posteriores, conserva en parte su estructura románica. Es el último templo del "Camino de Santiago" antes de llegar al Cabo del "Fin del Mundo" en Finisterre.

Original of the 12th and 13th centuries which, despite the successive reforms suffered in later centuries, conserves in part its Romanesque structure. It is the last temple of the "Camino de Santiago " before reaching the Cape of the "End of the World" in Finisterre.

The former fishermen's district in Bamberg's Island City is endearingly known as 'Little Venice'. This district is characterised by half-timbered buildings that prop each other up and by tiny, pretty gardens.
The half-timbered buildings were mainly built in the Middle Ages. They are squashed together along the riverbank, creating a quaint and picturesque scene, with boats floating in the moorings by the front gardens.
Shot wandering around San Diego whilst I was there last week. Shortly after this I crossed the road and unwittingly photographed a beautiful reflection of the sunlight bouncing off of a FEDERAL building. This is apparently not the done thing in the States. Once being apprehended by the guys on the door for ten minutes I was released only after I had deleted the offending shots. Which was a shame. Remember, your camera makes you dangerous...

A fine example of the distinctly rich style of the Gold Rush buildings is easily noticed like the fashionable privately owned Esplanade Hotel.

ArtZuid International Sculpture Biennial Amsterdam 2017
The fifth edition of the International Sculpture Biennial Amsterdam, ARTZUID 2017, takes place from 19 May – 17 September, 2017. Curator Rudi Fuchs presents 65 abstract sculptures of post war artists on the Apollolaan, Minervalaan, Churchilllaan and the Zuidas business district. ARTZUID 2017 follows the theme year Mondrian to Dutch Design – 100 Years of De Stijl ands shows the influence of the Dutch art movement De Stijl on post war Dutch sculpture.
What you see here is a part of the artwork of Cristóbal Gabarrón named "Enlighted Universe" in front of the Amsterdam Symphony Towers. These iconic towers , 105 meters in height, are designed by Pi de Bruin and symbolize the financial heart of the Zuidas.
