The castle in Bytów. We visited it when we were driving home from the seaside :)
The castle in Bytów was built by the Teutonic Knights in 1398-1405. The castle was located on a hill, towering above the town, which guaranteed excellent natural defence. The castle, very modern for those days, was a seat of the local administration officials, a border fort and a stopover for knights arriving from western Europe to Malbork. During the Thirteen Years' War (1454-1466) Bytów Castle was ceded by the townspeople of Gdańsk to the Polish King, Kazimierz Jagiellończyk. In 1454 it was granted by the King to the Duke of Pomerania, Eric II, whose family, the Gryfits, ruled the castle and the lands of Bytów until the death of the last member of the dynasty, Bogusław XIV. In 1637-1657 the castle and the land of Bytów were administered by Polish officials. Badly damaged by Swedish troops in 1656, the castle and the lands of Lębork and Bytów were ceded, to Frederic Wilhelm I, Elector of Brandenburg. The castle, which had also lost its earlier functions, was then used to house a court of justice and a treasury office. Some if the castle buildings were converted into apartments, some changed into storehouses and workshops. After 1930 the German state authorities designated the castle to serve as a training centre and a hostel for youths. The renovation and adaptation works which were then started stopped at the outbreak of World War Two. Today in the castle is the Museum, hotel with restaurant and the library.
Zamek w Bytowie, który odwiedzilismy w drodze powrotnej znad morza :)
Zamek w Bytowie zbudowany został przez Krzyżaków w latach 1398-1405 na wzniesieniu w południowo-wschodniej części miasta. Była to bardzo nowoczesna budowla jak na owe czasy. Podczas wojny 13-letniej zamek opanowały wojska polskie, po czym król Kazimierz Jagiellończyk oddał go w 1466 roku w lenno księciu pomorskiemu Erykowi II. W 1500 roku otoczono warownię ziemnymi fortyfikacjami i bastejami mogącymi prowadzić ostrzał artyleryjski. Niewielkie zniszczenia przyniosła warowni wojna trzydziestoletnia. Wraz ze śmiercią w 1638 roku ostatniego z Gryfitów, na mocy układu zamek przechodzi w ręce Polski i pełni rolę siedziby starosty. W czasie wojny polsko-szwedzkiej zamek spłonął. Częściowo odbudowany został po przejęciu miasta przez elektora brandenburskiego Fryderyka Wilhelma I. W XIX wieku umieszczono na zamku sąd i więzienie. Pierwsze prace konserwatorskie przeprowadzono w latach 1930-1939. Ostatecznie zamek odbudowano z przerwami w latach 1957-1962 i 1969-1990 umieszczając w nim Muzeum Zachodnio-Kaszubskie oraz hotel z restauracją i bibliotekę.

Fort Point Channel in Boston was, in the 19th century, a major shipping center, with extensive industrial warehouses developed by the Boston Wharf Co. Now, of course, the industrial activity is long gone, but the architecture remains.

Museum Tower is a 42-story, 170 m (560 ft) skyscraper in the arts district of Dallas, Texas. Completed in January 2013, the building is the tallest new structure to be built in the city in recent years, and is now the second-tallest all-residential building in Dallas.
