Rome, Piazza di St. Ignazio.
Sunday morning and the city is still waking up, leaving this beautiful piazza, a supreme ensemble of roman rococo architecture (devised by Filippo Raguzzini, 1727-28), still deserted. This piazza could easily feature as a décor for a theatre.
Marienberg Fortress
The mighty Fortress Marienberg is a symbol of Würzburg and served as a home of the local prince-bishops for nearly five centuries. It has been a fort since ancient times. Most of the current structures originally were built in Renaissance and Baroque styles between the 16th and 18th centuries. After Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden conquered the area in 1631 during the Thirty Years' War, the castle was reconstructed as a Baroque residence. After it ceased to serve as residence of the Bishops of Würzburg, the fortress saw repeated action in the wars of the late 18th and 19th centuries. Festung Marienberg was severely damaged by British bombs in March 1945 and only fully rebuilt in 1990
The French Quarter in New Orleans is interesting night or day. I loved the color, texture, and feel of the old streets and architecture. It was especially handy to have the 28-300mm lens for shots like this to have the option of zooming to 300mm and compress the image.

Another look at architecture. This time it's a more playful, more imaginative take. Still, how much more wonderful and inspiring it might be to live and work in cities that were actually inspired - in their architecture, their planning, green space, public amenities and overall shape and composition?
What if architecture were to have, beyond of course it's very practical purpose, inspiration and the elevation of the culture as its prime directive? .....
Haven't we had enough of the ubiquitous glass box? I thought Modernism was dead ( at least in architecture ) ! Two Clock/Bell Towers and the "Bow". A ship of time.

^^^^^^^^^ *** I've noticed that every day, almost without fail, at least 30 - 50 people view this series, "RE-IMAGined Architectures". This image, to date, has 2,822 views. I really want to know who's viewing these images so regularly, and why. I am VERY curious. Are you architecture students, engineers, city planners, developers??????? Are the images up for discussion and how are they received in discussion. What kind of institution are these images being viewed at? What's the course and department. Someone please let me know! :-) *** ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

...all brought to you by my manual zoom / long exposure magic! : )
