Mom

Lunch at Cracker Barrel with Mom today.

The cloudy weather and the tinted window where I shot this through had given everything a cool, bluish quality

A different version of one of my pictures, Around a Hill, taken with my phone instead of with my camera.

Edited with VSCO Film preset from RAW file in Adobe Lightroom. Further editing and watermark placement to JPG file done in Adobe Photoshop CC.

Constructive feedback is welcome and appreciated.

The guitar comes with a strap and cable!

Rao's

Julie asked me to take a picture of the Rao's Arrabbiata sauce to send to her mom. This is the base sauce we use when we make pasta.

We only left the house to walk the dogs today.

Editing

I finally picked up Elissa's CD from the dance studio.

Before stopping at the studio I went to Micro Center and bought a cheap Acer Chromebook 14.

Earlier today Ken came over and we hung the fan in the front room (including the new 20 amp circuit and running the associated wire). Also Alex showed up with a buddy to figure out what is going on with the refrigerator...again! Yet another part to order and time to wait. I guess he will be back next Monday.

As the sun begins to set, it takes on a yellow-colored hue, basking the entire surroundings in a yellow light.

Behold the Cosmic Bomb Boost. Hopefully it works...

A small amount of bright and radiant sunlight managed to pass through, before the dark rain clouds finally engulfed the entire sky.

Ying-Yang

Today was a clinical trial check-in. They take blood, swab our noses, check our vitals. We have been swabbing ourselves every day along with logging our temperatures.

My work surface is ready to begin assembly!

Still Not Hot

I guess I'm a little cooler than normal.

I had BW-3 for lunch and we had Chipotle for dinner.

Here is the entire guitar in it's tweed, orange interior, G&G tweed case.

Crazy Eyes in the Kitchen

We bought a refrigerator today. I was approved for a Lowe's credit card so we settled on a French Door Frigidaire. I just don't like the font panel ice/water dispenser area, otherwise it's fine.

This is the bottom of the board that will mount against the enclosure. Everything is installed so it is time to wire it to jacks.

Space Mask

We met Alec & Kristine at Bru Burger for lunch. It was Julie and my first time there. I liked it.

Julie's mask order showed up today. This is the one she got for me. These are nice. They have filters, moldable noses, and the ear strings are adjustable.

New Shirt

Julie cut my hair this morning. Then we went to Home Depot to get some mulch. My shirt got very dirty loading mulch into the car so we stopped at Target and I got this shirt then changed in the car.

We went to lunch at Winking Lizard

This is the first coat of the Montana 94 Matte Black spray paint. I think I will do two coats.

Les Paul Wednesday

4 Finger Shot rehearsal tonight. It was good and needed.

Draft Day

FSFL 2020 Draft Day.

Distorted Silence played Fenders tonight. I finally nailed down a couple dates for 4 Finger Shot with Jerome. Not cool to do while at another band's gig but oh well. I was on guitar tonight for the first time since August of 2018.

I concocted a makeshift spray booth using a cardboard box. In hindsight, I should have left the top on, ventilated the box with a filter, and had a lazy Susan pedestal. Then again, when am I ever going to use spray paint in the basement? The only reason I am doing this is because it is way too cold outside or in the garage and the basement is going to be renovated soon so any overspray will not matter.

Just another picture of the inside of the pedal enclosure...but sideways.

Rehearsal

We rehearsed with Josh tonight for the first time in over a year. It was also our first rehearsal since March 9th! It was so nice playing music with Josh again.

He has asthma so he said he would be wearing a mask to and from rehearsal but not while in place or playing. We all kept 6 feet of distance while we played but put masks on at the end. It was ripe for a picture.

The Celestion Vintage 30 speaker I ordered from Avatar arrived today. I will do some speaker comparisons with the Marshall 1936 cabinet soon.

Today was a steak day for me.

Slide

I am working on the slide part of "Free Bird". I am having troubles figuring out which slide is best for me.

It was the buildup of ice and snow on my wheels from the snow yesterday that was throwing my wheels out of balance. A quick wiping of the inside rims fixed the issue. I wish I would have known that last night!

Shakin' and Stirred at Fenders

Look at the bags under my eyes! WTF!

This is me and Steve at Fenders for our Shakin' and Stirred gig. Julie didn't come tonight. Mary Gilmore was there, Steve Albanese was there, Scott Hoover was there, Mark Brennan was there, and Will Newsome was there. Will bought Steve and I a few shots but it is his birthday tomorrow. Shouldn't we have bought him shots? Regardless, it was a good gig.

Harper's third class was today. We are half way through!

Yellow Brick Pizza

We tried Yellow Brick Pizza tonight. Julie and I had been to their Old Town East location a few years ago but this was our first time at the 5th Avenue location. Social Distancing (Physical Distancing) rules were observed.

This morning I dropped off Julie's iPad at Micro Center. It has not been coming on or reacting to being plugged in. The Tech Support associate said it is on but the display is not functioning so it will need to go back to Apple. Evidently that is covered under the limited warranty. We shall see.

Flashing Jelly Ring

Shakin' and Stirred played Heritage Lounge Friday night. This was taken after Midnight so it is Saturday. This was the most exciting thing I did all Saturday.

It was my first gig of 2018.

Julie is sick so I basically stayed home taking care of her.

Another full body shot

Patio

Another patio gig at Local Roots!

Julie bought a fake camera and a "Smile, you are on camera" sign. I put them on the tree in our back yard pointed at Scary Gary's yard. Hopefully he will stop shooting squirrels.

Rune Winery. Elgin, AZ.

I probably should have bought a new can of gloss clear coat but I was impatient.

With all the snow on our back deck, this seemed appropriate! LOL

Drunker Than You

I am at TC's. We hung out all day and tried to record our segment of the podcast retrospective. Unfortunately, the Bells HopSlam got the best of me (us) so what we recorded was useless. We will try again tomorrow.

Today was Harper's 4th obedience class. Julie had to work but Mother Mary was able to go. Harper is just so distracted in that environment. She sort of did a spin trick; Garth made her do it well. She did good with Stay. Otherwise it seemed like we learned nothing.

I picked up the guitar from FedEx Office on Bethel Rd instead of having it delivered to the house (I didn't want it to sit outside). They let me take it out of the American Musical Supply (AMS) carton at the FedEx location!

Muchísimo gracias 👌

HSH route in the Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster. I am sure this is just like any Fender American Stratocaster body. They just paint it Olympic White and install a Jeff Beck signature neck and a Jeff Beck pickguard assembly to make it a Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster.

This is the basic rig I will be using with the Alan Carl band. Fender Tweed Blues Junior with Rob Chafe's "Kitchen Sink mod" and Fender American Professional Telecaster.

Now that the bridge is back from FU-Tone.com it was time to re-install it. I took advantage of the opportunity to pop the neck off and check some dates.
