From a day wandering around Chicago, looking at its interesting architecture and other sights.

This is a mustard I whipped up Friday night to be added to some bourbon, black pepper bratwurst I purchased. It's absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend

Here is the recipe that I'm glad to share with you folks on Flickr

1/2 cup Dijon mustard

1 Tablespoon Creamy style horseradish

1 Tablespoon honey

6 slices thick cut hickory smoked bacon, fried crispy and crumbled

Mix all ingredients together and let sit for 24 hours for the flavors to mellow. I love my mustards very sharp so I used it right away.

A bright and vibrant blue sky, as seen from the rooftop of a large building during the late morning, close to noon.

Taken using an Apple iPhone 8 Plus.

Edited from RAW file in Adobe Lightroom. Further editing and watermark placement to JPG file done in Adobe Photoshop CC.

Constructive feedback is welcome and appreciated.

“People see stories everywhere... We take random events and we put them together in a pattern so we can comfort ourselves with a story, no matter how much it obviously isn't true... We have to lie to ourselves to live. Otherwise, we'd go crazy.”

The staggeringly well peserved Conwy Castle was built by Edward I, during his conquest of Wales, between 1283 and 1287. UNESCO considers Conwy to be one of "the finest examples of late 13th century and early 14th century military architecture in Europe" and it is classed as a World Heritage Site.

“The role played by time at the beginning of the universe is, I believe, the final key to removing the need for a Grand Designer, and revealing how the universe created itself. … Time itself must come to a stop. You can’t get to a time before the big bang, because there was no time before the big bang. We have finally found something that does not have a cause because there was no time for a cause to exist in. For me this means there is no possibility of a creator because there is no time for a creator to have existed. Since time itself began at the moment of the Big Bang, it was an event that could not have been caused or created by anyone or anything. … So when people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the Big Bang, so there is no time for God to make the universe in. It’s like asking for directions to the edge of the Earth. The Earth is a sphere. It does not have an edge, so looking for it is a futile exercise.” ―Stephen Hawking

“You want to play house, you got to have a job. You want to play very nice house, very sweet house, then you got to have a job you don't like. Great. This is the way ninety-eight-point-nine per cent of the people work things out, so believe me, buddy, you've got nothing to apologize for.”

Charioteers commanded troops and cavalry groups in battle, while simultaneously operating chariots of their own.

This earthenware example is shown wearing heavy, sleeveless armor and a high-collared robe, which would have protected his neck and back when driving and most vulnerable to attack.

Both arms are fully outstretched, once attached to the reins of horses pulling a now-decomposed wooden chariot. A cap and long tunic denote his status as both a charioteer and low-ranking officer.
