With many warring factions squabbling over land, these checkpoints are the only things that attempt to control ever changing borders.
Built for Nannan's Black Fantasy Contest. I did not intend to enter (been working on builds for other contests) but it was one of those sudden inspiration type things, so I decided not to let that spike of inspiration pass me by. I'm glad too, this was a lot of fun and I'm extremely pleased with the result.
A small diorama for Mclovin's "The Metro" group.
I've noted a few things I'll be adding when I get a chance to tear don my D-Day diorama, Of course it would be stormy today, so no pictures.
:C
I'm totally getting out of my building style with this, so we'll see how it comes out.
:D
Since apocalego got me into the zombie genre and writing my short story "Of the Flesh" I thought it only fitting if I doubled back and made some Lego figs and vigs from the story. This is the Lego-ized version of the illustration at the start of Chapter 7.
Maybe if I write a sequel I'll just use lego instead of hand drawing everything. Might be faster...
This is the tag for the Apocalego Contributor's Pack.
(Background Photo by Carter Baldwin, and used with permission)
I'll post photos of the weapons for the pack, as soon as I have them available.
There will only be a handful of these packs made available to the contributors of the Apocalego display at BrickFair 2011.
I AM NOT DISTRIBUTING THESE. Only the coordinators of that display will be giving these out, so DO NOT ASK FOR ONE FROM ME.
The world has ended, anarchy reigns.
Small groups of survivors have formed "Crews" and will work for food or money.
Just don't get on their bad side...
Built as a sister diorama for the Trinity Apartment Blocks.
This one is the work of around three days on and off, the result is what you see here.
I highly recommend that you go check out the set for full detail shots and more.

I apologize for the pictures, it's really overcast here, so getting a good picture is near impossible.
After a months work and a Bricklink order later, I present to you, The Trinity Apartment Blocks!
Encompassing pretty much my whole collection of Lt. Bley bricks and Trans green tiles, I'd figure that at least 60+ hours went into this
And honestly, I think it's probably my best work yet in the Apocalego genre.
I'd appreciate it if you guys checked out the set for more pictures and views.
Day ... unknown
Well, I believe that I am now truly part of the community in the Desert Haven.
They kept me in that huge rock for a couple of months after I arrived, but now they seem to trust me. The leaders of Haven have given me my first true assignment, a 2 month shift in Watch Post 7, along the "border" of Haven (so to speak). this watch post is more of a listening post, for radio signals coming in from beyond the wastes. Still, there's not much to do here but look out into the desert. They stationed me with a gruff veteran, who I still haven't been able to get his name out of. I just call him "Sargeant Jackson", I don't know his first name.
Anyways, when they sent me out here, they just told me to follow the telephone poles, and it would get me there. Weird. They supply us well out here, though, and we even have our own little "garden". Oh well back to watching ... Wait, What's...
No, this isn't a bid to revive Desert Haven, I just had a bunch of dark grey and tan pieces sitting around, an I thought, "Why Not?".
And sorry about the crappy background. I was too lazy to take down the big one I used for "Outskirts".
And this was built in about an hour, the day after Outskirts was done...
The world has moved on. The mountain remains.
16 October, 2017 – Day 154
Well, day one of my trek back to town is coming to an end. It snowed a tad this morning, but not enough to really make problems. What did slow me down was the damn sledge. It’s bulky and a little lopsided, and makes every bump a hassle. Much of the hike today covered ground I see regularly hunting, but with a pack on my back and a sledge behind me, the trip is much more cumbersome. All the ledges I can usually clamber up and down now force me to stop and lower the sledge on a rope. I’m glad I brought all the rope I did – gonna make sure and pick up a lot more in town too.
Anyway, enough writing for tonight. I’ve got to hang the bear bag up and hit the sack. I’m worn out.
Day one of the trek back to town for our lone survivor of the apocalypse. This is a follow-on to Autumn Solitude on the Mountainside.

Day 54:
I am starting to run low on supplies and must turn to the sea for sustenance. On a rare occasion I pass a large fish which I can shoot for food but I am now running low on bullets, and I must start saving them for when they are truly needed. I fear if I do not reach land soon I wont survive.
Overview: A post apocalyptic man built his home on an iceberg and rides it to a different land in search of other survives
For the Reclaiming Society contest in the ApocaLego group.
In addition to the visuals, a story immediately came to mind. It was even powerful enough to pull me away from building one night to write a couple pages before going to bed. I ended up using it as a short piece for my creative writing class as well.
10 October, 2017 – Day 148
Last night was quite frigid. The days certainly are getting shorter now, the nights longer – and colder. My little hut was great in the summer, but now the rock wall drains the heat as soon as the fire burns down. Tomorrow I will set about insulating. I just hope it is enough.
The other problem with these nights is entertaining myself once it gets too dark to work. What I wouldn’t give for another person to talk to! Gary the Owl talks a little after dark, but I think he talks to the moon, because he won’t make much conversation with me. The winter is going to be especially interesting that way – just less time per day to do the things that need doing. It’s funny, before all this, such things as cold weather and short days hardly mattered. Sure, I might complain about how long it took to warm up the car or shovel the walk, but it was all minor stuff. And when it got dark at six, you just flip a switch, and you have light again. I don’t exactly have that luxury now. It does make you appreciate the things society offered us - electricity, running water, prepared food, the basics. Now I can’t even store water by the hut because my keg froze up. I have to haul it from the creek every time I need it – and I worry the creek is going to freeze soon too.

As I walk, the rain begins to fall. Scary, not water but acid.
It hurts, burning through your skin.....
Yes, apocalego from me, Eric The Red. :3
The barrels are filled with gasoline, when the acid rain hit, they started to burn. :3
This is for the MOC-off between me and
[ACE].
It's also an entry into this contest.
Enjoy! :D
An operation put in place during the Great Winter involving a former soldier being send into the hills and setting up camp as an experiment. After weeks in the mountains a soldier comes to retrieve the man of Mission 5.
For the ApocaLEGO contest:
"We set out from the Mediterrania three days ago after hearing rumors of a 'Haven' supposedly located in the heart of the wastes. We've come across an oddity that has caused us to rethink our assumption that we're the only ones out here: The still-hot coals of a fire that couldn't have been burning any more than two days ago. Lying next to that was a pile of what appeared to be chicken bones. God knows how a chicken could end up out here. There is dark pillar in the distance, which has been our only point of reference over the past three days. Ordinarily, we would head toward such a pillar; but with the alarming amount of Nannanites roaming the wastes, we have decided to steer clear of any large, dark objects..."
Built to accompany Crimson Wolf's series of lead-up vigs.
More tablescrap. I rather like the shape of this one, but I'm not sure about the yellow highlights. I just kept them in anyway. Feedback would be appreciated.
Also, please excuse the bad photography; I was in a rush.
I've built a series of variant versions of the Prowler APC, using different modules plugged in above the troop compartment. This is the Prowler-E, the engineering variant.
The weapon that all survivors rely on..

Journal Log: 2039.
We managed to find our way to an abandoned bridge during the snowstorm and take cover,
when the storm abided we decided to make it our home.
We needed supplies so we raided a military surplus depot for MRE's and sleeping bags as a bonus we found a weapons locker in the janitors closet.
We found more than just sleeping bags and guns though, A fully assembled nightingale runner was stored in the back for emergencies, apparently it got forgotten in the panic.
We decided if the runner was going to be of any use it needed a pair of arms,Ironsniper claimed he could weld well enough and we figured why not give it a try?
Worst mistake I've ever made.
It now walks like a gimpy old man with bad knees, He's one helluva shot but not much of a welder.
Tac rigged up a ladder from the base of the bridge to the top for easier access, after he was done with that he made a couple of barricades for safety.
I lifted the barricades up onto the bridge with the nightingale and put them in place, While 'Ol charlie directed me where to go.
Soon strangers will come far from hearing the noise of us building a home for ourselves, it will be a challenge to keep them out.
With some new armor, spikes, decals and more, I don't care about these apoc haters, I still love this theme.
My entry for the CABG hosted aMOCian Idol! A post Apoc scout I made for Brickfair too! The helmet is Brickforge.
If you have a package you need delivered across The Mire, there's any number of couriers eager to take it. If you want it guaranteed to arrive on the other side, you put it on the Milou.
