Hunter
Born of the same source, yet different. Seeming the same, yet apart from the rest. Collector of souls, and yet their release. As it hunts its prey, it always sears, always seals, the souls of his victims. Yet he has one true prey. The battle ever reigning. The hunt ever on. The Priest, oh that clever soul, is the Hunters prey alone. And yet it will never be, for the priest is the soul of the world, and though its body may be destroyed, its spirit will live on. But the Hunter searches on.
Its body, a broken mess of wires, chains, nets, wood, pipes, tubes, and bones. Its head derived off a reptilian pet. As it searches, it drags the kitchen blade its creator endowed it with, yearning to use it, yearning to be rid of it. Claws clanking as it steals life through its palm, the forces are kept within a vial on the shoulder. As It hunts, it despairs.
This is the Hunter
Based on, of course, the movie "9".
Sorry about some of the pictures being a bit, overexposed, its really hard to get good pictures in a limited space with limited light.

This one came together a LOT quicker than the Rumbler. This is the first MOC I've come home and built after daydreaming about it all day at work.
An apocalyptic MOC built by Raven Bricks. Go check out his photostream for more pictures and MOCs!

LUG's Social Media:
Hello Flickr! I am new to Flickr, but here are some minifigures that I made a while ago... Helmet design credit (oil can) goes to Jasbrick. Enjoy!
-EvilChef!
I feel the sun cracking the already parched skin on my back, I fear if I don't find adequate shelter soon I won't last much longer.
The sand shifting sounds like the howls of a million dying souls, who knows? Maybe it is.......
The oblivious figgy in my newest Vig.
Also, a big thanks to John for supplying me with these gorgeous weapons at BrickCon 2011.
Hey guys,
Happy Holidays! I'm just testing out my new TAMRON SP 60mm F/2 MACRO lense. I got some great loot for christmas, not too much lego (just some Pharoh's quest stuff!), but I got a new Guitar and some Photography equipment.
Anyways, this fig is also part of my ApocaLego government. He's a standard soldier, like the other. I'll post a squad photo later. ; )

John: Oh, hey, look, there is a house!
Carrick: Yeah. I hope it is the house we are searching for. I'm tired of walking!
/After a few minutes of walking/
John: Yes, this is our house. Let's stop for a minute!
Carrick: Good idea!
*Klack*
Carrick: What are you doing?
John: Loading my weapons. Safety first...
*Klack*
Carrick: You are right!
/.../
John: Wait a moment... Do you have a binocular?
Carrick: Yeah, take it.
John: Uhh... That is bad... Five, no, wait, SIX terrorists. Oh, wait, one of them is a hostage!
Carrick: Dang! Why do we get all the hard jobs? I wish I could cook a soup for our man in the bunker.. ;)
John: Stop! Someone's coming near us... Get ready!
*Guard shouts*
Hey, put down your weapons! We are friends!
John: How can we know?
Guard: You see this house? Right. It is the house of Mr Bronson, he is a billionaire. We wanted to get into his house after this apocalypse, but there were terrorists! And they catched Kyle...
Carrick: Uh.. So?
Mr Bronson: We organisized weapons. Let's take our home back!
Carrick: Great plan. Any other ideas?
Guard: Of course! You two are going in front of this house, I will go by the back. I know a little path and I will climb up the house! Mr Bronson will stay here. ok?
John: Ok!
Mr Bronson: No. I will fight with you. I bought a weapon, so let me liberate Kyle!
Carrick: So this is clear. Everyone; Let's go!
*PAM*
*Uahh* /Terrorist crashs into a wall/
*Pew*
John: Shit! Sharpshooter, watch out!
*Pew* *Klickn*
Carrick: Move forward! I will save your back!
*PAM*
John: Nice shot!
*Ratattat*
Guard: Got him!
Sharp Shooter: Hue?
*Rattat*
*Peng*
Carrick: He is escaping!
John: Is too far away...
*PANG*
John: LET HIM GO!
Mr Bronson: Where is Kyle?
*Here*
Kyle: You saved my live! Thanks! But I want revenge. May I fight with you?
John: Sure. You are welcome!
Mr Bronson: Wait, what? You are my guard!
Kyle: Sorry, not longer. I am in their guilt. And I want to fight against them! But maybe you could help us?
Mr Bronson: Maybe. But look at all this weapons: I think your mission is completed!

For Apoc LRPG.
It is a nice build, I think. In full, there is a street at the beginning, the picture will be uploaded by ThePupnu.
(It shows the first fallen terorrist and Mr Bronson with Carrick Owen.)
My first try on a longer description, I hope it is good.
Also first picture with my new character: Kyle!
Comments = Faves
Quest reward:
~ 250 (30 per terrorist, Quest: 80, liberate the hostage: 20)
Good day all!
I know most of you probably did a double-take when you saw who this was built by. Yes, Blake Baer, the castle builder, has finally come out of his bubble to join some of the more sane(?) in building a mech. There was no real purpose for this build, just a good way to hop back into the scheme of the LEGO world. (Was I ever really gone?)
Despite my idiotic ramblings, I would like to give a quick shout out to Cam M who most of you probably know as being one of the best hard-suit makers on Flickr. He was a huge inspiration in building this, and to me in general. I will probably express some more love at a later time, but for now, that will suffice. God bless you bro!
The Build:
I have NEVER built one of these before! Please keep that in mind as you comment. Despite that, I would really appreciate tons of feedback from you guys. As I said, I am so insecure in this area of building that it would help a ton to get some critiques. A lot of this build was centered around the colors. I enjoyed the refreshing challenge of just using the shades of purple and dark turquoise to create a mech. Also, the structural design and the engineering was a fun challenge.
I suppose one of my goals with this build, was to attract a different crowd to my stream than the typical castle folk. I have always thought that sticking to one single theme can get rather boring and won't refine your skills as much as venturing into other areas. To be sure, this build really brought forth a ton of new challenges than I normally face with my landscapes.
I would love to talk some more about this, but am not sure what. Please post any comments/questions below so I can ramble on just a little longer. :D
Also, to those that have some experience in building Mechs, I would really appreciate some critiques and suggestions from you guys. I have no experience what-so-ever with these bad-boys, so I feel quite uncertain about how this will fare.
Grace and Peace,
-Blake
Soli Deo Gloria
A random build for a very large project that I am working on.
And it's in the ApocaLego group for a reason (you will see)
And it barely fits a fig.
ADDITION:
I am working on a Version 2, to be made much better.
Listen: The Game Has Changed (Watch in highest quality)
-------------------
The game has changed, but not in our favor. A new player has come, and they are against us. They side with no one but themselves. They are raiders, taking advantage of people in these hard times. They are The Scourge.
-------------------
This the better scene I talked about, do you guys like it? For TheRemnant. Blogged by BrickWarriors on 3/20/2013.
The baddest beast in the desert.
This heavy-weight tow truck gone bad is the ultimate apocalypse machine
For the Op. Meltdown contest.
I'm quite pleased with how the motorcycle came out, it's really hard to use that frame without the cover for it.
:D
A small apartment building, now home to a group of brigands. My contribution to the BrickFair 09 ApocaLEGO display.
The tire track technique was borrowed from -Mainman-.
Brickshelf gallery, when public: www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=404895
Would ya' look at that. I built a mecha!
Anyway, this guy has been sitting around my room since before August, and I finally decided it was time to photograph him.
I beefed up the legs and feet significantly from the V1, and I'm really happy with how the turret came out.
:3
Just testing out a new photo setup, and showing off a new painting technique. Enjoy guys.

Thanks!

It's Saturday night!
And you know what that means, right?!
You know what that means!
Yes!
BOT WARS!
It's game night and it's on!
We get a real treat for you tonight!
The main event is an all brawl match with not two, not three but seven ... Yes seven bots.
Your contenders for this evening are the Rust Buckets.
Bihicle!
Tank!
Snail!
Spongie!
Pneumo!
Bucket!
and Switch!
They look ugly!
They fight dirty!
But most important ... they are
READY TO RUMBLE!!!!
I've been talking with some friends lately about building a joint post-apocalyptic diorama. I started thinking about various factions that could do battle in the wastelands, and came up with several ideas. One was the Iron Mountain Legion.
The Iron Mountain Legion is intended to be the remnants or descendants of an elite military unit that was sealed away in a bunker (Iron Mountain) during the war. They emerge to wreak havoc from time to time.
Goofy back-story aside, this is my first completed attempt at building a tank. It turned out rather, oddly, if you ask me. It seems almost cartoony. While that wasn't what I set out to do, I think it's interesting. It also successfully includes four-wheel steering, which I'm happy about.
We've been fighting over who gets the last of our food, as we only have enough left for about a week...
The debates have been getting more and more intense, and I decided I'd had enough. I have the bigger suit, so it's not like he had much of a chance against me.
I now wish I could undo the past, because these cold nights are hard to bear without a friend...
When the bad thing happened, I thought it was not so bad. It was a little like going camping with mom and dad, a long vacation. At first we played a lot of hide and seek, climbed in trees, visited lots of houses.. we also ran a lot from the bad men. Mom says I am really good at running, I am way faster than my brother Josh.
Then, we built this super cool shed, my castle as dad calls it. It has ladders, a Pirate flag... and even a TV, but I think it's broken because there are no cartoons on anymore.
I am starting to miss my room, my toys, I also miss Josh. The food is not good anymore and mom is crying a lot. Also, today dad took fluffy on another big secret mission. That's silly really, he's just a small dog.
I want to go back home now.
Built for the "Zombie Kill of the week" challenge on Bricks of the Dead.
I haven't built anything dark in a while, man it's been too long!
And BAM! Three days before Brickcon. Excuse the indecent photo; I've been butchering my time into education, building, packing, writing, and food. Moving left to right, we have a mutated survivor, a typical farmer who had the time to make it into the city before everything went awry, a stay-at-home dad, hazardous environment officer, and the Medici brothers. Onto vehicles, we have a billboard (which will have an image on it, just wait a few days,) a small buggy, which is a personal favorite toy among my collection, and an anti-aircraft cannon. Why a cannon? Well why not?
See you guys there!
Every survivor needs transportation. This heavy truck comes fully equipped with a hood mounted minigun, thick, rugged tires, and armor plating.
My Category #1 entry for the Apocalego Showdown
The project has started! I've spent most of my time working on the main building, the hotel. So far, I've crashed a bus into the side and made a hole in the roof.
The group of survivors hiding in the waterfront warehouse are ambushed by ApocaPirates for the remaining loot stashed in the Warehouse, the weapons that the survivors have stockpiled in the event of another catastrophic "Incident", as well as the food they've kept in the warehouse.
Some believe in a god, some don't.
I believe in the earth.
Regardless of whether we're here, the earth will still be here rotating it's slow axis.
My name is Ajax Chantilly.
I was born in 1989, Twenty-Three years before the great heat waves.
We'd all heard of global warming of course, it was one of those "If I look the other way it'll never happen" type of things.
Well, it finally happened. When it did, the temperatures rose and never came down. The population was reduced to only the strongest and healthiest and millions were dead through either lack of water or starvation due to soaring food prices. It happened on July 23rd. The great quakes, when the earth beneath us shifted in inconceivable ways that day.
The fragile economy finally collapsed and governments around the world disbanded to form PMCs.
Primaton Corp. was a rising company at the time, manufacturing thirty percent of the world's arms and military equipment. When the great collapse happened, they cut supplies to factories and started a PMC that would rival that of pre-collapse America.
Journal entry, 209.
They've found me.
During my travels I happened across a PACOM encampment and "Borrowed" a few items, needless to say, they want to dispose of me.
I must get my charge to safety and make a stand.
I fear when I do it will be my Last Stand.
-----------------------------------------------------
Well, here's a wrap up of the whole thing.
It got started around the beginning of the contest and I was steaming away on it, until one day, I was hit by a lack of initiative.
It sat for around ten days before I started on it again, then I joined the MOCathalon on MOCpages and had to stop again.
So I present you a labor of over a months time.
Build time: 20+ hours.
Parts search time: 30+ hours.
Editing: Sucky, this is why I build small vigs.
Some say the Tandrins broke out of prison for the thrill of the hunt.
Some say they broke out for the freedom.
I say they broke out for the nectar of the gods...... Apoca-Cola.
All I wanted was to go home and put my feet up after a long day of hauling remains from one spot to another.
But no... We had to get ambushed by a rival gang of road pirates.
Another day in the wastes....
While not being one of my more impressive builds, I think I maneged to salvage a good portion of it.
I built the roadway first and ran out of Bley slopes, so I couldn't do the second cliff that I was planning on.
Inspired by Max Brooks' books, The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z, and fueled in part by the flurry of post-apoc mocs, I set out to depict some zombie plague survivors on the hunt.
Yeah, another Apoc Fig.
Inspired by Soop. Decal made by oRRange.
Anyways, the group is almost set up. Strange and I are working out the final kinks (as in putting up the description :p). I'll be sending out some invites soon.

Halloween special!
My friend Dave from Bricks of the Dead asked me a while ago if I could produce a series of MOCs that would represent the different kinds of modern Zombies...
This third MOC covers the last kind... the infected human.
Check the full story on Bricks of the Dead!
I haven't seen another soul in months, and I'm okay with that. I've found myself a nice shady spot under this here bridge. Water is coming up from underground, and a dwarf apple tree is thriving in the moist soil. That means there's enough food and to last me for a while, plus, I've got myself a couple cans of Apoca-Cola."
----------
"I was in the middle of a 14 year sentence when it all went down. Lots of cliché apocalypse stuff happened, and now I'm stuck wandering this freaking desert...
Anyway, I've managed to take a weapon from a little "raider", and now my next goal is something to drink. Water would be nice, but an Apoca-Cola would be supreme."
