Hello again, this is a WIP for a thing for Brickfair. This is a Collab between myself and Wisrthanu
yes I know yellow is an ugly color
Due to recent events, I have decided to return to Apocalego!
*Cheers from Strange*
"I've been wandering in the desert for years, carrying only what I need, and a bit extra. As you can see, I'm a bit of a gun eccentric, carrying way more than I need, as I am yet to seen a single living thing. I have been carrying a radio on me, for no reason, waiting, calling, for anyone, anything! Still, I roam this never ending desert of horror, waiting...:
The newest edition to the F-Corporation lineup, the Flight-Enabled Combat Suit is the way to go when your area becomes overrun with zombies.
-With new forward wing stabilizers, and a long-range radio receiver, this suit is the ideal choice if you want a tactical advantage when battling those damn zeds.
Been working on this for a little bit but it's done now. Got to experiment with a few things on this that I've wanted to try for a while now, which was cool. Some of the other pics of have some details on how I went about making this.
No real cool backstory or anything, just some sweet sweet apoc
The Inventor's House - Front
Based on the house from the movie 9.
More pictures in the Brickshelf Gallery, once public.
The guys pulled off an amazing display this year!
Since you're probably only viewing my most recent five photos of Brickfair, here's a link to the entire set.
I've been talking with some friends lately about building a joint post-apocalyptic diorama. I started thinking about various factions that could do battle in the wastelands, and came up with several ideas. One was the Iron Mountain Legion.
The Iron Mountain Legion is intended to be the remnants or descendants of an elite military unit that was sealed away in a bunker (Iron Mountain) during the war. They emerge to wreak havoc from time to time.
Goofy back-story aside, this is my first completed attempt at building a tank. It turned out rather, oddly, if you ask me. It seems almost cartoony. While that wasn't what I set out to do, I think it's interesting. It also successfully includes four-wheel steering, which I'm happy about.
Anno 2086
The great war and apocalypse of 2034 is a distant memory to most of the survivors. Nobody remembered how it all started. And although food and water are still scarce, humanity endures.
A new form of entertainment arose in 2057: Bot Wars. Made of scraps and debris left from the great war, bots were forced to battle each other to the death for the amusement of the masses. Panem et circenses ...
After the battle the loser would bring whatever was left of his bot to the slums, to the workshop of the Repairman. His skill was renowned and all bots sooner or later were fixed by his hand. Some scrap part here, some rusty joint there, all patched up and ready to go back into the ring ...
My section of the collaborative post-apocalypse display at BrickFair 2012. Chris Edwards has some great pictures of the whole display here: www.flickr.com/photos/cjedwards47/sets/72157630925521306/
It's the year 2078...
It's been decades since the world has plunged into chaos...
The sandstorm of 2077 is still fresh for all of us...
I don't know how we have managed to survive this long.
We had to make due with what we had.
Life is tough for all of us.
Just the other day...
I heard something from a passing traveler.
He spoke of a settlement on the east coast.
Do you think we can make it there?

Been working on this on and off for the better part of a year.
Update on life: I finish up my last semester of college the first week of may. My passion for Lego has never left me and i hope to become a more active member in the flickr community again.
I do hopefully plan to make it to BFVA this year, for a few of the days, but I will for sure make the decision come June time!
I hope you enjoy this MOC!

I went over to my friend's house the other day for a film club meeting, and we put this diorama together. Perhaps we will make a brickfilm in here.

My entry for the Picking up the Pieces Contest (Small). Most of my Lego is packed away, so I had to make the most of what I have.
"A number of townsfolk escape the war-torn city and take refuge in the forest. They have started making camp, but they have little supplies. Will they survive?"
There's the cheesy description.
Overall. Story:
One night, four squads of mercenary commandos had set up camp on a highway bridge. The next day, the Experiments bombed the bridge, leaving only 3 troops left alive. After that, the Experiments attacked what remained of the mercenaries. Two mercenaries fight, while another attempts to create a communication device so he can call for backup.
Maybe for the Post-Apoc contest. I have to actually work on an entry though. I do have a few snow vehicles build too.

CHICKEN!!
Its been 5 months since the sandstorm storm hit...
It came out of no where...
I.. I didn't even have time to stockpile some food..
Rations have run thin.
None of my clothes fit anymore..
It's been so long since I've been outside.
I didn't know what to expect..
Everything is just... broken..
How do we come back from this?

This is just a teaser for a larger MOC that I've been working on and off for the past 6 months.
I've got 5 weeks left of my final semester of college. So hopefully I can become more active in the community again in the very near future.
I hope y'all enjoy!

Some awesome pictures courtesy of Simon.
Originally this was going to be some big cyberpunk scene, but I found that I didn't quite have enough to finish the entire building. So instead, it turned into apoc! Also I decded on adding some Native American themed minifigs because I don't see too many of those. I'll try to get some good detail shots up soon enough.
Shoutout to my homies at Beyond the Brick for their interview, found here.

This apocafied Seven-Eleven was my contribution for the From Bricks to Dust display at Brickfair 2012. Sorry for the poor photoshop, I'm still learning!

Every time we go to scavenge supplies we find something one of us wishes we could forget. A video game console, an old phone, even sometimes just magazines. It only serves to remind us of everything we've lost even though we've built so much back up. Our children will never know how good of a world we came from, a world we went and ruined for them. All we had to do was talk to one another, instead we let missiles fly, and nuclear fire do the talking for us. We were supposed to leave the world a better place than we found it, now I find things so my children might just have a chance to survive. A tattered coat, a handful of ammo, maybe a teddy bear if there's room in the pack. Something to make their day in this life a little better.
Journal Entry #2: Saturday, September 17, 2011. Time unknown.
I survived the bombings. I have boarded all the windows of my house and have barricaded the doors. I am lucky to have a good amount of supplies, including a pistol, rifle, machete, several days’ worth of food, and a wind turbine, although I have been unable to hook it up to the electricity in my house . I have devised a plan to search the surrounding area building by building, searching for more supplies and other survivors.
I have also been lucky to be able to study the ‘infected’ over the past few days. As of right now I know 4 things for sure:
1. The majority of the ‘infected’ are vulnerable to sunlight, except for some that appear to be immune.
2. The ‘infected’ are deaf, as I accidentally shot off a round while there were some outside, and they did not react to it.
3. The ‘infected’ are extremely sensitive to movement, as they saw me scratch my head and immediately began to come at my house, fortunately they gave up after a couple of hours...
4. Last but not least, at night the ‘infected’ run around at night moaning scavenging for meat.
Today I found an old solar kit from when I was a little kid and started to build it. It was so beautiful outside that I couldn’t resist working on it out there. Just to my luck, a pair of the ‘infected’ saw me. Luckily I was able to get inside before they could reach me...
Commander of Tacticians, Hugh Trenchard
Experience: 27 years of military planning, 12 years marine commander
Hugh trenchard was once Austzechian first, and most famous marine commander. He lead some of the most famous battles “The Steel front”, “The Bloody offensive”, “Ironclad war” just to name a few. After taking a round from an enemy walker, his command tank exploded almost completing destroying him. Medics rushed him into a robo-brain, and he is now the main Austzechian tactician.
