More tablescrap. I rather like the shape of this one, but I'm not sure about the yellow highlights. I just kept them in anyway. Feedback would be appreciated.
Also, please excuse the bad photography; I was in a rush.
I've built a series of variant versions of the Prowler APC, using different modules plugged in above the troop compartment. This is the Prowler-E, the engineering variant.
The weapon that all survivors rely on..

Journal Log: 2039.
We managed to find our way to an abandoned bridge during the snowstorm and take cover,
when the storm abided we decided to make it our home.
We needed supplies so we raided a military surplus depot for MRE's and sleeping bags as a bonus we found a weapons locker in the janitors closet.
We found more than just sleeping bags and guns though, A fully assembled nightingale runner was stored in the back for emergencies, apparently it got forgotten in the panic.
We decided if the runner was going to be of any use it needed a pair of arms,Ironsniper claimed he could weld well enough and we figured why not give it a try?
Worst mistake I've ever made.
It now walks like a gimpy old man with bad knees, He's one helluva shot but not much of a welder.
Tac rigged up a ladder from the base of the bridge to the top for easier access, after he was done with that he made a couple of barricades for safety.
I lifted the barricades up onto the bridge with the nightingale and put them in place, While 'Ol charlie directed me where to go.
Soon strangers will come far from hearing the noise of us building a home for ourselves, it will be a challenge to keep them out.
With some new armor, spikes, decals and more, I don't care about these apoc haters, I still love this theme.
My entry for the CABG hosted aMOCian Idol! A post Apoc scout I made for Brickfair too! The helmet is Brickforge.
If you have a package you need delivered across The Mire, there's any number of couriers eager to take it. If you want it guaranteed to arrive on the other side, you put it on the Milou.
A group of survivors find shelter in some old ruins in the middle of a desert. Based on Mainman's "Dry Nile" This one has some improvements.
Because I initially neglected to take a shot of it topless.
Here's an APC for my Iron Mountain Legion military theme. I built and photographed this creation before my son was born in January, and I'm finally managing to get it uploaded.
I built this to compliment the other creations that I'd already built for the theme. I've uploaded my initial sketch of the design, and hopefully, you can see a bit of my creative process. I tried to incorporate some of the details I used in the wheeled tank I built for this theme, including a similar front and headlight configuration, and beveled top. I also tried to add some APC functionality, like hatches, and a removable top (which I failed to photograph).
This war has been going on for to long...
The Germans have been the dominant force during most of the war, due to their advances in weaponry and armor. They've developed "light" suits of armor to provide full body protection from most projectile weapons. Their weapons are mostly energy based, with some small railgun prototypes being used in the field.
My wife and I have made ourselves as much of a home as we can in these hard times, and we're not going to let these damn Germans take us prisoner...
When the scouting party arrived, I made the first strike on their senior leader. A clean shot through his left armpit. It exited out his neck with a small spurt of blood. The drone suit was the first to pick up on the shot, but the female wasn't far behind. My wife's inside, and she'll be taking the girl out. That just leaves me the drone...
With the exception of a few custom stickers, the model uses only genuine LEGO parts. I have cut a few bits of pneumatic hose and flex tube, however, but this is fairly common practice even among 'purists'. The wheels are genuine LEGO parts as well. the front ones were made by stretching a smaller tyre over a larger rim.
Yeah, I know I haven't actually posted anything in a while. College has been CRAZY and all that.
But to show you that I HAVE been building (a bit) here's a picture of the 2 post apoc buildings I made, and a couple tablescraps. I might actually do something with the buildings when I get around to building a base for them. For now, here you go.
I might post better pictures (and back pictures) of the buildings. They are quite detailed, and I am proud of the roof on the left one, as it has SNOT construction with studs going in every direction.
I've built a series of variants version of the Prowler APC for the Iron Mountain Legion. This is the Drone Control and charging variant, a variety of comm gear, as well as base stations for two B.U.D.s (Battlefield Unification Drone). This module does not impact the troop capacity of the vehicle at all.
"It's amazing, they have a greenhouse built into the rock! Where did they get that much unbroken glass?"
More on Brickshelf
Plaguesville USA is an awesome post apoc novel by Jim Lavigne.
Check out a "Double Tap" review of the book on Bricks of the Dead.
I gave the LEGO treatment to the book's cover, here is the result!
An IED blast from the war that tore apart the civilized world left this strangely shaped crater in the road. An Idealistic survivor decided that it could become his home. After adding a few fences and rolling out his sleeping bag, the survivor settled into this bizarre location.
The survivor is a poacher who steals cattle from the settlement, and that also explains why he is located so far away from others. With his trusty 17th century rifle, which he looted from one of the smithsonian museums, he hunts for his dinner.
At a first glance, the RV may look like a fairly straightforward box on wheels. It's a bit more complicated than that, however. The shape of the front is really quite complicated and the rear is also sloped.
A product of the post-nuclear armageddon, pink-berries are the most nutritious food source that can be found in the wastes. Ms. Applebottom is famous for being able to grow the biggest, best (even award winning) Pink-Berries in all of the desolate wastelands of what remains of civilization. People come from all throughout the Haven Wastes just to buy her famous fruits.
I am a stickler for scale. With the RV weaving through stranded cars, you can see that, at 1/22, it's a substantial model.
In a post-apocalyptical world, the prospering City of Tektropolis has become a rich metropolitan area. This attracts small gangs of outlaws as well as well organized groups of terrorists.
To defend itself, Tektropolis has established the Urban Defense Forces (UDF), which is composed of smaller Teams. One of them, the 21st UDS and its vehicles will be introduced in this and the following threads.
Here, I'd like to introduce the Anti-Aircraft Anti-Mech Tank AAAMT-01 "Cyclops". It carries two soldiers and - for the more technical oriented readers - is completely remote controllable (drivind, steering, turret, guns, radar-dome) by LEGO Power Functions. A video is available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZIMedvPs1k

"Jack’s fellow Rangers, think he’s a little crazy. He has this scary joy of killing other men and mutants. In battle he has this freaky mix of anger and joy, whenever he kills something he either has a smile on his face or is laughing. He might be creepy, but he is an excellent fighter, trust worthy, and loyal."
THE GASMASK IS MY OWN DESIGN. PLEASE GIVE CREDIT IF YOU USE. I WOULD ALSO APPRECIATE A LINK TO MY PHOTOSTREAM
