I applied some of the new decals to my HeliJump Soldier :]

View in all sizes. ;)

Plaguesville USA is an awesome post apoc novel by Jim Lavigne.

Check out a "Double Tap" review of the book on Bricks of the Dead.

I gave the LEGO treatment to the book's cover, here is the result!

I thought this was pretty cool. ;)

An IED blast from the war that tore apart the civilized world left this strangely shaped crater in the road. An Idealistic survivor decided that it could become his home. After adding a few fences and rolling out his sleeping bag, the survivor settled into this bizarre location.

The survivor is a poacher who steals cattle from the settlement, and that also explains why he is located so far away from others. With his trusty 17th century rifle, which he looted from one of the smithsonian museums, he hunts for his dinner.

In a post-apocalyptical world, the prospering City of Tektropolis has become a rich metropolitan area. This attracts small gangs of outlaws as well as well organized groups of terrorists.

To defend itself, Tektropolis has established the Urban Defense Forces (UDF), which is composed of smaller Teams. One of them, the 21st UDS and its vehicles will be introduced in this and the following threads.

Here, I'd like to introduce the Anti-Aircraft Anti-Mech Tank AAAMT-01 "Cyclops". It carries two soldiers and - for the more technical oriented readers - is completely remote controllable (drivind, steering, turret, guns, radar-dome) by LEGO Power Functions. A video is available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZIMedvPs1k

The temporary home of a nomad travelling the apocalyptic wasteland in search of drinking water.

At a first glance, the RV may look like a fairly straightforward box on wheels. It's a bit more complicated than that, however. The shape of the front is really quite complicated and the rear is also sloped.

I just can't stop with these post-apoc figs!

This is my Ranger siggy for The Metro

"Jack’s fellow Rangers, think he’s a little crazy. He has this scary joy of killing other men and mutants. In battle he has this freaky mix of anger and joy, whenever he kills something he either has a smile on his face or is laughing. He might be creepy, but he is an excellent fighter, trust worthy, and loyal."

THE GASMASK IS MY OWN DESIGN. PLEASE GIVE CREDIT IF YOU USE. I WOULD ALSO APPRECIATE A LINK TO MY PHOTOSTREAM

I am a stickler for scale. With the RV weaving through stranded cars, you can see that, at 1/22, it's a substantial model.

A couple shots I took yesterday to show off my most recent Apocalego figs.

The baddest beast in the desert.

This heavy-weight tow truck gone bad is the ultimate apocalypse machine

For the Op. Meltdown contest.

I just received my prizes from the Fallen Earth contest, and I have to say, I'm in love. ♥

The Kar98 is beautiful, and the painting/decal on the helmet is great! I also wasn't expecting the big certificate, so that was super cool.

I couldn't get the Kar back into the sheath, so I just added a machete. :3

I've built a series of variant versions of the Prowler APC, using different modules plugged in above the troop compartment. This is the Prowler-E, the engineering variant.

I wanted to have some fun with this build, as Crimson Wolf's desert haven had all sorts of odd bits and pieces that survivors could use, I decided to add lots of pieces of equipment and storage crates wherever possible. The Rock is dotted with several "weapons bins" in case of unwanted visitors.....

The VW Camper van type thing is also inspired by the one on Crimson Wolf's Haven, I just had to have one for this.

Rebuilding society sniper. Inspired by Chef's older stuff.

The sloped and pointed front was the major challenge in this build and it took a few revisions to get to this point. The flowers behind the window are based on Mr. Zumbi's minifig scale version.

After a months work and a Bricklink order later, I present to you, The Trinity Apartment Blocks!

Encompassing pretty much my whole collection of Lt. Bley bricks and Trans green tiles, I'd figure that at least 60+ hours went into this

And honestly, I think it's probably my best work yet in the Apocalego genre.

I'd appreciate it if you guys checked out the set for more pictures and views.

John: Oh, hey, look, there is a house!

Carrick: Yeah. I hope it is the house we are searching for. I'm tired of walking!

/After a few minutes of walking/

John: Yes, this is our house. Let's stop for a minute!

Carrick: Good idea!

*Klack*

Carrick: What are you doing?

John: Loading my weapons. Safety first...

*Klack*

Carrick: You are right!

/.../

John: Wait a moment... Do you have a binocular?

Carrick: Yeah, take it.

John: Uhh... That is bad... Five, no, wait, SIX terrorists. Oh, wait, one of them is a hostage!

Carrick: Dang! Why do we get all the hard jobs? I wish I could cook a soup for our man in the bunker.. ;)

John: Stop! Someone's coming near us... Get ready!

*Guard shouts*

Hey, put down your weapons! We are friends!

John: How can we know?

Guard: You see this house? Right. It is the house of Mr Bronson, he is a billionaire. We wanted to get into his house after this apocalypse, but there were terrorists! And they catched Kyle...

Carrick: Uh.. So?

Mr Bronson: We organisized weapons. Let's take our home back!

Carrick: Great plan. Any other ideas?

Guard: Of course! You two are going in front of this house, I will go by the back. I know a little path and I will climb up the house! Mr Bronson will stay here. ok?

John: Ok!

Mr Bronson: No. I will fight with you. I bought a weapon, so let me liberate Kyle!

Carrick: So this is clear. Everyone; Let's go!

*PAM*

*Uahh* /Terrorist crashs into a wall/

*Pew*

John: Shit! Sharpshooter, watch out!

*Pew* *Klickn*

Carrick: Move forward! I will save your back!

*PAM*

John: Nice shot!

*Ratattat*

Guard: Got him!

Sharp Shooter: Hue?

*Rattat*

*Peng*

Carrick: He is escaping!

John: Is too far away...

*PANG*

John: LET HIM GO!

Mr Bronson: Where is Kyle?

*Here*

Kyle: You saved my live! Thanks! But I want revenge. May I fight with you?

John: Sure. You are welcome!

Mr Bronson: Wait, what? You are my guard!

Kyle: Sorry, not longer. I am in their guilt. And I want to fight against them! But maybe you could help us?

Mr Bronson: Maybe. But look at all this weapons: I think your mission is completed!

For Apoc LRPG.

It is a nice build, I think. In full, there is a street at the beginning, the picture will be uploaded by ThePupnu.

(It shows the first fallen terorrist and Mr Bronson with Carrick Owen.)

My first try on a longer description, I hope it is good.

Also first picture with my new character: Kyle!

Comments = Faves

Quest reward:

~ 250 (30 per terrorist, Quest: 80, liberate the hostage: 20)

As seen in Fort Scrap, this vehicle is a modified version of the Bull Three-Wheeled Heavy Diesel Combat Car (Mk. IV) that was used in the North-Eastern Border Conflict. Having been scavenged from a war museum during the apocalypse, it has since been used by the Bull Riders faction as a large scouting vehicle.

I've built a series of variant versions of the Prowler APC, using different modules plugged in above the troop compartment. This is the Prowler-E, the engineering variant.

"Whoah! They have a Cow! I though those were extinct! And I'll bet you this is where the Chicken came from."

Post-Apocalyptic Survival Outpost

Located off the Texas Coast

I have always wanted to build a post-apocalyptic diorama but I didn't want to recreate the usual dio of dilapidated structures and cities in ruins.

In almost every apocalyptic scenario, the cities usually are the first place survivors head due to large amounts of supplies, weapons, non-perishable food, and the possibility of finding other survivors. However, urban areas are usually hit the hardest in any apocalypse. Large amounts of destruction, lack of electricity, presence of outlaw gangs, and other dangers await survivors that hope to find shelter in the metropolis.

With this in mind, where would you turn to find sustainable safety and security for a group of survivors? The county side? Rural towns? The coast?

A while back, I was out fishing near some gas and oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. I thought to myself, "why not build a survival outpost on rig a mile off the coast?"

__________________________________________________________________________

Offshore structures can provide all of the 5 resources required to survive.

Water - A basic desalinization device along with large amounts of coastal rainfall would provide all the fresh water required

Food - Sea life of all kinds can be acquired near offshore rigs. The structure creates cooler water with shade from the sun and the underwater structure acts as a natural reef which attracts bait and then predators. Crustaceans and shellfish can be collected from the surrounding waters. The tropical climate makes for great greenhouse conditions.

Shelter - A roof and walls offer a place to keep supplies dry and a refuge from the elements.

Protection - Being offshore, the risk of attack is reduced. Survivors are better able to detect possible threats and react accordingly. The near proximity to the shore also makes trips to the mainland feasible. And of course, lots of guns.

Energy - With an almost infinite supply of natural gas and wind, you could power almost anything using natural gas engine conversions and wind generators.
