The next few weeks are going to be uber-busy with trips for open days at the Universities my youngest, Phoebe, wants to go to. At last she has made her choice of the course she will be studying, Veterinary Medicine or Vet-Med. She will be completing the M.S.A.A exam to allow aplication to Cambridge but our first visit was to Glasgow University, a great day. In a couple of weeks time a trip to York, Bristol and Cambridge, then during the summer break The Royal London School of Veterniary Medicine, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Nottigham. Competition is tough but I strongly believe with Phoebes academic attainments and experiences with animal management she will be well placed to move forward as a Vet, can't wait as I will be accompanying her with all her visits. But we have already learnt a lesson, don't try and do a University visit in one day, up at 01.30am in the morning to fly up to Glasgow and returned at 02.00am this morning from Gatwick.......goodnight!

“Well, it was a pretty normal night I guess, and by normal I mean running across rooftops dressed like Robin Hood, but anyways, it was a normal night for me at least. I’d stopped a mugging, couple a gangs making trouble, nothing big, but I knew a drug deal was going down that night. So I’m thinking I’ll patrol a little more then head over when I see J’onn. I mean I didn’t know him then, but yeah I saw him standing there looking, you know, the way J’onn does, and he’s floating a good 2 feet off the ground. So I’m thinking, “great, I’m in for a hell of a night.” And I wasn’t wrong thanks to you guys.”
“So I start heading his way when he starts flying over to me. And you know the people in star are not used to flying people. Not like other places anyways. So I’m worried about that, but more importantly I’m thinking, “What the hell is this and how do I punch it.” And you know I love J’onn, but Jesus Christ talk about a bad first impression! He’s just floating at me with those red eyes, not moving or saying a damn word! And then he knocked me out! Didn’t even punch me or nothing, just comes up and BAM! I’m out.”

so i've wanted to be part of the dc story group for a while, and while i've thought about joining there havent been any characters free/avalible that i was interested in writing, but i thought some more and this is the start of what i hope to be a new series. it's definetly going to be difrent from my x-men series, smaller builds for one (so much less time consuming) and less of a sole character piece ( x-men will get more team-y very soon so don't worry). also if anyone's worried x-men isn't going anywhere i'll still be working on it and it will also be smaller builds soon since it means i can make more easier.
also, on my last story i got around 30 favorites and 2 comments. that is not ok. at all. the reason we post stuff like this here is to get feedback, and it's really frustrating when i put effort into writing and all i see are favorites. if you've done this, i don't blame you, but please try in the future to try and say something. i really like to hear from people so please try and make this community more of a community and actually communicate. sorry, rant over

The theme in this toad is the aplication of different techniques into one model.
Though it looks like it has a lot of informal shaping it actually doesn't.
I tryed to keep everything honest, folded and reproducible.
This model is not about points but shapes. I don't find it easy to make a model with good shapes using point-obtaining techniques.

The Tall Strider is a mechanized stilt walker, commonly used for recon units or urban operations however here we see a different aplication as the pilot is snagging some apples of this apple tree.
Yeah, this is another part of my Dieselpunk layout from Bricktopia, inspired by the Tall Boys from Dishonored I've always wanted to try my hand at a mech like this.

Launched at the 1968 Paris Motorshow, as a small family car as an intended upmarket alternative to the Renault 4, the new angular Renault used the same platform as the Renault 4 as well as its 845cc engine.
In its first two years of production it attracted critiscm for its lack of power and higher fuel consumption against its lighter sibling.
This was adressed in 1970 with the aplication of a larger 1108cc Cléon-Fonte engine which had been used in the Renault 8 since 1962. Power was increased from 34 to 45 PS and the change was deemed a big improvement, although the smaller engine remained an option. as the Renault 6L which remained available until 1977. The improved Renault 6TL also had higher equipment levels as well a new gearbox, cooling system and front disc brakes. For the Spanish market the R6 was made available with a 956 cc engine, due to vehicles over 1040 cc being taxable under Spanish regulations. Later, a 1037 cc engine was fitted, and from 1981 the 1108 cc unit appeared in the 6 GTL.
In June 1973 the Renault 6 received a facelift with square headlights, new rear lights, a plastic grille, and new bumpers. The front indicator lights also moved from between the bumper and the headlights to the bumper itself. The mechanicals remained untouched. A further mild facelift in 1978 saw a black grille as the most obvious change.

So, this came a bit out of nowhere. my application for martian manhunter for dc story group (obviously). I'm not sure if I need to do anything els for the app, so yeah. this is one of my favorite photos to date, and im really proud of the lighting and atmosphere, although i could have done better. either way, still really proud.
