Another pub bites the dust! A proposal, forwarded on behalf of Melin Homes, a local housing association, for the demolition of the pub and construction of ten new homes on the site. The pub, which had become rather seedy towards the end, closed several years ago and was initially offered to lease. It has been on sale for a couple of years now.

*About Jiangsu Fanqun FL Boiling and Granulating Dryer
SCOPE OF APLICATION
1. Use screw to extrude and vibrate granule and granulate granule with the method of humidity, high speed and mixing;
2. Suitable for drying humidity block or powder raw material in the fields such as pharmaceutical, foodstuff, feedstuf , chemical industries and so on;
3. The raw material is large in granule and small in bolck and having adhesive property;
4. Suitable for raw materials, its volume will be changed when dry, such as giantarum, polyacrylamide, etc.
Features:
1. The structure of fluidization bed is round so as to avoid dead corner;
2. Inside the hopper there is a stirrer in order to avoid agglomeration of raw material and to form channel of flow;
3. The granule is discharged fully and conveniently through the method of turning over. The discharging system can be designed as required;
4. It is operated in the conditions of negative pressure and seal. The air is filtered. Therefore the dryer has simple operation and convenient cleaning. It is the ideal equipment in conformity with the requirements of GMP;
5. The drying speed is fast and the temperature is uniform. In general, the drying time is 20-30 minutes for each batch.
Main Application:
GFG Type High Efficient Fluidized Drier is the granule high-efficient drying equipment which is matched with YK Type Swing Granulator or GHL Type High-speed Mixing Granulator. It has more fluidized range than traditional horizontal XF fluidized drier and can be easily cleaned. When fluidized, the material is stirred slowly avoiding the block. So it has special advantages for the high wet and sticky material. It's widely used in: a. the granule for troche, capsule and instant medicine; b. big granule and micro-powder in foodstuff, chemical industry, etc; c. wet and sticky granule or powder with different sizes.
Working Principle:
Put the material (granule or powder) into the charging hopper. Meanwhile filter the dust in the air by the filter and heat the material to the demanded temperature by the heater. When the air gets through the Dutch sieve, the material is fluidized and dried. The steam is drawn by the fan through the dedust bags. The superfine powder will be collected by the filter bags and can be shaken back to the container after fluidizing by the upper shaking cylinder.
Characteristics:
(1)The charging hopper is cylindraceous with no dead angle, even drying and easy cleaning.
(2)The filter pocket, adopting the antistatic fiber, has well ventilation and excellent dedust effect. So it is safe and reliable.
(3) It is equipped with stirring set in the bed avoiding the block of the material. It features the great fluidized range and quick drying speed.

Today was a big day in the school district where I teach as we had an unveiling of our new Hopkins Apps Powered by Google suite.
I've been using Google Docs on a regular basis with my students fr teh last couple of years, but the arrangement we had, while providing students with a single sign-on, was limiting in the aplications available to them.
With today's event, students and teachers alike now have access not only to the standard Google Docs applications, but utilities such as Blogger, Google Maps, Aviary, and much much more.
I know some people will be skeptical of this, but as my title suggests, Why Not?

Islamic Cairo is a very old area, surrounded by walls dating from the middle-ages, and was once the cultural, religious and intellectual center of the entire Arab world. Monumental buildings, palaces, many famous mosques and madrasas (religious schools), numerous markets and the oldest university in the world (al-Azhar) still stand witness to a glorious past. But, in the twentieth century Egypt has become a poor third world country and at present Islamic Cairo has fallen into decline, it is full of ruins and has degraded into a living and working neighborhood for the very poorest. The entire neighborhood has become a big bazaar, a labyrinth of dirty, stinking and dusty streets, with thousands of old-fashioned workshops where many crafts are still practiced at a very high level. Two million people live close by in what used to be the burial ground for the very rich: the City of the Dead. Entire families have taken possession of old sepulchers. Surrounding it are schools and stores, the center of an extremely lively social life.
The lot of the inhabitants is not just poverty; religion is also very important to them, namely the Sunni Islam. Daily life is interrupted five times a day by the call from the mosques that is heard everywhere and the people go to pray to Allah. The visitor can experience: the ramadan (a period of fasting), the hadj (a pilgrimage to Mecca), and exuberant weddings and funerals one after the other. Islamic Cairo is grandeur and decline, work and poverty, religion and tradition in confrontation with the modern world, as a great stage where everything takes place in an eternal scenario.

the Lorenz curve
Edward lorenz pioneered into a topic called chaos. He started with the weather trying to improve forecasts. He looked at data of regions and there temperatures air flow and any other variables that he could coordinate. They were poured into a computer for analysis and he would look for a pattern. There was none which led him to see how random something could be. Wheather was a problem that was to complex so he started with an easier one. a pendulum, it was still two dimensional but led to a way in seeing things that had not previously been used. The aplications helped to unmystify jupiters red spot. The randomness that was occuring in the swirls and its seeming ly random movement leaned toward an attractor. an attractor was a point in the graph of phase space. in the graph of the pendulum the axes for graphing were speed on one axis and ange measure on the other. It did not matter the varience of the pendulum it was always attracted to one point, the farthest descent it could make which is when it is at rest. This attractor existed as a point on the graph. some attractors are not points but lines which make curves. The elements of the system whil be attracted to these lines. in the picture there is an expariment where a waterwheel with cylinders of fluid are attached at the circumference and filled with water. there is a hole in the bottom of the cylinders so the water can leak out. when the cylinders are filled with fluid the wheel turns and the pattern of its turning is never repeated. The system does have an attrator though. when energy is put in the system and a given position is available the results of its turning will always mirror the graph. This method of representing things in a new way led to the prediction of trends never before seen. An example given included the spread of small pox and measels. The data collected was random and seemed to have no direction but when organized by the new method an attractor was existant. The next move of the medical problem was applicably apparent.
