ROMA, 11.05.17 - Questa mattina 11 attivisti di Greenpeace travestiti da api operaie hanno inscenato uno sciopero, con tanto di picchetto, di fronte al Ministero delle politiche agricole, per chiedere il bando totale dei pesticidi neonicotinoidi. Gli attivisti hanno protestato mostrando uno striscione con la scritta “Stop ai pesticidi – Salviamo le api”, impugnando cartelli e scandendo slogan come “Niente api, niente cibo”.

Rumah Api Isyarat merupakan sebuah bangunan bersejarah yang terdapat di Jajahan Tumpat. Rumah api ini terletak berdekatan dengan kawasan stor Keretapi Tanah Melayu di Tumpat. bangunan ini berketinggian 70 kaki dan ukur lilit di bahagian bawah adalah 37’ 9". Ia dibina menggunakan batu-bata, berbentuk bulat, tirus ke atas dan mempunyai tangga di dalamnya. Rumah api ini telah dibina oleh pihak berkuasa pelabuhan (Syahbandar) sekitar tahun 1900. Ia dibina kerana Tumpat merupakan sebuah bandar pelabuhan yang masyhur ketika itu kerana mempunyai kawasan perairan yang strategik bagi kemudahan para pedagang atau pelayar keluar masuk ke pelabuhan khususnya di waktu malam.

Attivisti vestiti da api in tutta Italia per dire basta alla moria delle api. Questa mattina in 26 città italiane i volontari di Greenpeace hanno visitato mercati ed eventi con un appello: www.SalviamoLeApi.org per ricordare che la gran parte del nostro cibo dipende direttamente dall’opera di impollinazione delle api che, insieme agli altri insetti impollinatori, sono a rischio a causa di pesticidi e pratiche agricole di stampo industriale.
