Lavender is a honey plant highly prized by bees, offering abundant nectar and health benefits.

Why lavender attracts bees

Lavender, with its purple flowers and strong fragrance, acts as a magnet for bees. Bright colors, particularly shades of purple and blue, are especially attractive to these pollinators, while the rich nectar provides an essential food source for the colonies. The flowers are structured to facilitate foraging, allowing bees to collect nectar quickly and efficiently.

This Bee was busy

I have taken very few shots of Bees, but I do like and appreciate them. I was standing in a field by a pond waiting for birds to come in. The field was full of Yellow Hawkweed which attracted Goldfinches and many types of polinators.

When I posted this last evening, I did not know the species. Thanks to those who provided the ID,

Theme: The Surface - Trivecta, ft. Roniit

The full saying is, “Api biaew! Aehuew djebetew aedew!” The hieroglyphs state the same saying on the left and the right. I chose to mirror it for artistic purposes. Also, Trivecta's song, The Surface is something like the theme song for the Harmakhis story. The concept being that there is something ready to surface that will change the world the city of Harmakhis is in, called Panterrea, which will shake it to its core.

The saying in the hieroglyphs is the battle cry of the Pakeret Mehuetey, the Northern Frontier Patrol, and heard over the intercoms of the apeyew (aircraft) of the pedjet aeshew (troop of pilots/squadron) on duty as they take flight for the designated battlefield. In this story, the main characters are part of a squadron called the Jahi Gahiji Minkha (JGM - Dignified Hunters of Justice).

When they hear it called out, “Api biaew! Aehuew djebetew aedew!” They know they are thus sent to fly into the heavens and to destroy the enemy targets. This call is first stated in Chapter 7 of a book I'm writing called Harmakhis as intro to a dog fight between the JGM and the Nirgalian enemy forces.

Ejemplo visual de Polinización entomófila, las abejas son uno de los insectos mas importantes en este tipo de polinización.

Between limping to work and to the doctors I have not been able to take many photos lately. Over six weeks ago I was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma on my lower leg and had to go back to hospital to have a significant larger piece of skin removed. They could not pull my skin to completely close the wound (16 stitches) so it's still an open gash in the middle but seems to be healing slowly.

I am really not a suntanning kind of person and always preferred the shade but got it anyway. Please check the UV-Index before you go out and take precautions and put sunblock on yourself and your children/grandchildren!
