The duck-billed platypus! They are part of an ancient group of primitive mammals called monotremes. Instead of giving birth like more advanced mammals, monotremes lay eggs. Also, monotremes lack external mammary ducts. Instead of nursing their young on teats, monotremes secrete milk through their skin in certain areas and the young lick it off the mother's fur.
