The original indicators were sealed lamp units. One was missing, one was burnt out (and 1 was OK). I decided to replace them with LES lampholders. the ones I chose have metal bezels connected to one side of the lamp. Although the voltage involved is totally safe (12V), since one side of each lamp is connected to ground it makes sense to have the bezel on that side. Since this is a positive-earth unit, and internal ground wires are red, I painted each lampholder red near the tag that connects to the bezel.
