DEVILS DON'T HAVE ANSWER FOR PENGUINS

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Albany Devils netminder Dave Caruso was tested 35 times in the team’s 4-0 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Monday night at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall. The Penguins were led by Ben Street’s two goals to improve to an AHL-best 37-14-0-0. The loss moves the Devils to 18-28-0-3.

The contest was the makeup game for the Dec. 12th date, which was postponed due to unfavorable ice conditions.

The Penguins wasted no time taking control thanks to two first-period goals by Street and the third by Brett Sterling.

Street found the back of the net for his second and third goals of the season. He scored 1:57 into the game from Nick Petersen and Geoff Walker. Then at 6:22 he cashed in on a rebound with the assist going to Petersen again.

Sterling concluded the first period scoring with assists going to Ryan Craig and Nick Johnson at 14:08.

Keven Veilleux finished the scoring late in the third. His tally came with help from Walker and Street at 15:46.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton welcomed the return of All-Star goaltender Brad Thiessen, who missed six consecutive games due to injury suffered on Jan. 22 against the Devils. In this game, he made 21 saves for his 19th win.

Prior to the game, the Devils recalled forward Jeff Prough from Trenton (ECHL) and signed goaltender Jeff Lerg to a professional tryout contract. Lerg also joins the Devils from Trenton.

I heard Tony Kornheiser quote this a few times on his radio show. "The answer to all your questions is 'money'" . I can't remember who he was quoting, but if I can get the name I'll attribute it here.

Update: Kornheiser quoted Don Ohlmeyer.

112 Pictures for 2012:

#33 - Money

So, here are the answers to the contest! There were 37 differences plus two bonus ones, so all answers 37-39 are considered correct.

Ten people sent me their solutions. Nobody had it right, but closest was Jovel, who found 41 differences. Runners-up were Brixe (42) and Martian Cthulhu (30). So Jovel is the winner!

I know it is possible to find even more by counting parts I could not possibly mirror (bicolored hats, goats) or counting one difference as several - but in such cases, the jury is always right, and the jury happens to be me. Sorry!

There is a separate prize for contestants at the Bricking Bavaria fair - they had one extra bonus diference.

So, here's the list, left to right and top to bottom on this mosaic:

1. procession of three/two monks

2. white/red windows

3. different shields

4. black/gray spire

5. printed/blank owl

6. different pillars

7. golden plates/cones in cross

8. different beards

9. round plates/bricks

10. missing king

11. missing goat

12. white/red roof

13. blue/red band

14. windows put in normal/backwards

15. black tile/no tile on rim

16. wheel/no wheel

17. large/small black roof

18. large/small window

19. wall/closed window next to owls

20. round/pointed opening over oils

21. vertical groove/horizontal grooves

22. bottle/cup

23. one/two white bands on turret

24. turret spire in two/three parts

25. square/round brick next to window

26. brick-built/one piece lion

27. knight/robot

28. fairy/witch

29. tan/black window frame

30. white/yellow porch

31. round and square bricks/microfigures in window pane

32. one/two flames

33. straight/diagonal window panes

34. double/single support on fence

35. different torso prints

36. different fence corners

37. different window positions

38. bonus (unwanted difference): missing cheese slope finishing under arch

39. bonus (almost invisible difference): vertical/horizontal grooves behind princess

40. bonus for Bricking Bavaria visitors only: window accidentally put in backwards during the exposition

Answer Facet No. 1

That’s a good question. It’s not only a good question, it is a question that deserves an answer. Because the question is so important, it follows that the answer must be also. But, if the question is simple, the answer is not. Rather, it is multifaceted. There is no single answer. But, when all of the facets that comprise the answer are presented, there is no longer a need for the question to be asked.

This, then, is the first facet of the answer. Please continue to follow this series of articles from beginning to end. Somewhere along the journey you may find the answer for yourself, even before we finish.

Facet #1 – We Believe That God Is Who He Says He Is

Moses asked the name of the one speaking to him from the bush that burned but was not consumed. The answer was “I AM that I AM” (in the Hebrew, הָיָה, or hä·yä). He is the same I AM who spoke to Isaiah and told him that “I AM God, and there is none else; I AM God and there is none like me.” He is the one who told Abraham, “I AM the Almighty God. Walk before me, and be thou perfect.” He is the one who is the Lord God of Israel. He is the one whom Elijah called the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.

He alone is God. There is no other, and there is no other like unto Him. He is the God who created the heavens and the earth. He is the God who called Israel out of bondage and into the land promised to Abraham, to make it their home. It is the land in which the nation of Israel exists today.

Around 250 activists associated with Answer Coalition, Code Pink, Veterans For Peace, Black United Front and other peace and justice groups gather for a rally and meandering march ending on Capitol Hill to protest ongoing US post 911 'war on terror' military actions worldwide. The DC and Capitol police generally maintained respectful distance from the protesters. There were no arrests I am aware of.

You want a custom and a bright ground glass? Contact me here :

Contact me here to order : hello@felixmarcel.com (fast answer)

EN : ➡️ Following the positive feedbacks I’ve got from first batch of focusing screens I made 4 years ago, I’ve decided to offer that service to analog photographers!

These ground glasses are polished by hand and not with acid or laser like industrial ones.

This offers an ultra thin grain and a bright screen which is really nice when you work with small depth of field.

You can choose to upgrade your current ground glass, or refurbish an old camera or replace of broken glass.

I try to keep in stock a small batch of standard sizes ground glasses. However, I recommend you to double check the dimensions you need before ordering.

Large format camera makers (Sinar, Toyo, Speed Graphic, Chamonix, Stenopeika, Gibellini , Intrepid, Kodak Deardoff, Shenhao, Wista, Linhof, ArcaSwiss etc...) use different focusing screen sizes!

📏 Use a caliper or a precise ruler to take the measurements of the glass you need. You can slightly adjust the glass later using sandpaper or metal file with a lot of care and gloves!

👷‍♂️ My ground glasses are made by hands, the polishing is a long and exhausting process, some imperfections could be visible (really small scratches). The cuts are <1mm precise too! Overall the result is really good ! Only have positive feedbacks after +1,5k ground glasses made in 4 years ! I regularly make focusing screens for professional large camera makers.

️ For custom size order, please ask the current making-time before placing your oder, I might be travelling or my glass supplier takes some vacations from time to time. I try to do my best to make it quick but I don’t want you to be disappointed by the potential delay. It usually takes two weeks to make a ground glass, more in summer!

📞 I can be contacted through the platform anytime or here :

hello@felixmarcel.com

(+33)699226536

💸 You can pay through the platform payment service, I also accept Paypal, Lydia, Bank Transfert etc.

📦 I ship all my orders with a lot of care. I protect a lot the glasses in order to avoid any damage.

Every order to France includes tracking.

If you need a tracking number (Europe or Worldwide) it costs €3,2 and you’ll have to drop me a message when you order.

(tracking recommended for Mexico, Russia, Brazil, Chili, Peru etc..).

I've uploaded some pictures made by happy customers and their cameras :-)

Some reckon the 50s have a lot to answer for, but you can't blame them for this fine example of how to get it right. Curves may not be convenient, they may not come cheap, but they are glorious when you can see them.

I think it was the great Greek philosopher Spiro Graph who said "A curve is the prettiest distance between two points" - right on.
