Another trip to the mailbox. The male butterfly this time. Almost no blue coloration.
With fill-flash, the same reflective spot appeared on the back. Could it be another eye?

“Another Time” by Antony Gormley—a life sized standing human figure sculpture installed in Tromsø. Gormley’s “Another Time” casting has been placed in several cities; the one in Tromsø stands near the Clarion Hotel The Edge. The work is as part of a project to bring public art to urban space in Tromsø.
Nothing wrong here, photo should be in this position cause i have made this sp while I was laying down holding camera above my head.
Well, people do crazy things when they are bored, don't they.

On Bhogi, people discard old and derelict things and concentrate on new things causing change or transformation. At dawn, people light bonfires with logs of wood, other solid-fuels, and wooden furniture at home that are no longer useful.
There was a line of thunderstorms headed my way and due to arrive at 7 PM so I went out to shoot the storm arrival. The activity petered out and I ended up with this.... Time for another flickr break for me, back soon.
Was lucky to catch this nice sunrise and cloud formation on the third morning of my trip and on what turned out to be another glorious day. But not so glorious for some. The day before, I had taken a day pack and gone for a tramp along the Whanahuia Range. At the Mangahuia Peak I met up with a group of trampers who were on their way to stay the night at another hut. They were very experienced and well equiped and as we had lunch together I learned quite a lot about the area from them. As I took this photo, two members of this group were being taken by helicopter to the Palmerston North Hospital for urgent medical attention. Meanwhile, back at our hut, two members of the same tramping party (who had stayed at our hut) had been very ill during the night. By morning one had recovered but the others' condition deteriorated to the extent that that person also required transporting by helicopter to the hospital. I hope they all made a speedy recovery.
Another days has been finished and is now in the books. I would have liked to got more done, but I think every days finishes with that. Maybe it is time we all just slow down.
We get a lot of these little black crested titmice at our feeders. Speaking anthropomorphically, they seem to have "expressions" more than any of our other birds...
Another beautiful rose photographed in the Dugald MacKenzie Rose Garden, Victoria Esplanade, Palmerston North.
