Another load of pellets from Empire arrives at the ore yard in Escanaba on March 11, 1999 with 6617 and 6630 for power.

thankfully I have color inside...

I was planning on going to Clague Park this morning to try and capture my nemesis the Belted Kingfisher, but instead went to the Rocky River Reservation Metro Park. Naturally, I found out later from another photographer that the Kingfisher was at Clague and giving some really good looks. Meanwhile, I had to settle for this Red-bellied Woodpecker who at least posed in a spot with a nice background and turned to face the early morning sunlight.

I keep finding new sunset pictures from Maui. Just when I think I've gone through all the good ones, I find another that I like. I guess it's hard to compare sunsets, they're all pretty nice in their own unique way.

A rear feather view of a Welcome Swallow from last week - hope you like it!

Thanks for any comments, views or favorites - much appreciated!!

Have a wonderful day....

Another from a couple days ago. No textures this time. Hope they withstand the snow blanket on them tonight. I love crocuses..wish they were around all summer.

After waiting 2 hours for the train to pull I yet again found myself caught in the rain when the train finally got on the move. At least the shot turned out ok.

I understand that this sign is now being restored. I'm so happy to hear that

Just had to have another Ribeye steak. Smothered with sautéed mushrooms and onions with chopped garlic, horseradish and blue cheese.

The light balance was uneven in the original posting, there must have been sunlight on the right-hand corner. Here's a more balanced posting.

A long exposure photo of one of sculptor Antony Gormley's famous life size cast iron statues at Crosby Beach.

I do realize that much of the photo is out of focus but it captures perfectly the mood of the moment and the ambience of the place. I hope you won't mind...

Bridge 32 on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal at Morley Lane, Milnsbridge.

Charlie had some fun in the garden again this morning and in the afternoon he and his brother Leo returned home. They are supposed to return for another visit in June. :)

Another beautiful tree with blazing Autumn Color. Five exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2

Here's is another silhouette shot form the other day. I thought this one was interesting in that Della is not in silhouette and Tug and most of my husband are.

Another one! I was shooting a bee in some flowers when movement in nearby leaves caught my eye. We'd been wondering where they were, and now we've seen several in the last few days...always cooperative subjects...

I think this is the last color one from her set. The rest are b/w's. Sorry!

I'll have some other color shots from my maternity session this past weekend if I post them.

Have to post and run today - might be back on later to catch up. :)

Haere folks he just looked at me with thos pearcing eyes and that was enough for me to only take a couple of hundred more and leave, to say the series was so very exciting would be an understatement , maybe one more will see.

Another one from this series - for as long as I don't edit the new set of pictures. Lately I'm lacking the energy to process the new things. Still at work and under pressure. But I like these pictures anyway...

Tis the season of shopping and decoration, so another Echo Lake sunset I've been saving for the occasion.

Yet another in what feels like a steady stream of cherry-red SD70ACUs, (not that I'm complaining!) CP 7037 in this case, leads an SD60 westward on the "Cut-Off" through downtown Milwaukee with a junk freight bypassing Muskego Yard. In what should be a few years, this line will be bereft of almost all freight traffic, as CP constructs a new double-track main through Muskego Yard itself, reducing conflicts with Amtrak traffic on the "Cut-Off".
