This is another shot from the day where we were fortunate enough to see multiple black-crowned night herons flying around the small lake at Koll.

at least I think so because of the red stamens who remain after the petals have fallen, anyway giving a different view

I've known for some time that the place around here to see acorn woodpeckers is Dawson Creek. But, after multiple trips there, I'd still not seen them. Finally, today,, I did my (internet) research to see _where_ at Dawson Creek that they'd been seen. I found a wetland somewhat matching the description, and immediately saw a Northern Flicker. But soon after, I saw a pair of acorn woodpeckers land on this tree. I now know where to look!!!

a Friend of mine saw the Photo and she told me that, she felt like it was on another Planet, therefore I call it Another World :)

another on the obscure iris rose series, once again trying to concentrate on the veins within the petals

It was another spectacular day at Artist Point. We hiked around Table Mountain, enjoyed the sun, rediscovered some mountain lakes and then stopped by Picture Lake for a Night Cap. This is Mt. Shuksan reflected in Picture Lake near Mt. Baker Ski Area. Perhaps I will rename my flickr page to, "Photos of Mt. Shuksan".

The sunrises lately here in southern Brooklyn have been pretty awesome, including today's example. I enhanced some of the color, contrast, etc., but not by much. Hope you also enjoy it!

Another world here,

small and hidden, rarely viewed.

Hues and tones inspire.

A bridge is meant

to carry you across

to take you

from one place

to another

but sometimes

bridges fall

and you are left

to fall with it

but 'don't fall'

'find or make another way'
