Another high street butcher set to close, this one on 1st February. The country is eating less meat and buying its elsewhere, I plead guilty as part of this trend. The decline of the high street also encapsulated by the butcher now being inbetween a beauty salon and a Chinese takeaway. They do have lovely pork pies.

The River Frome flows into Poole Harbour, it is flowing from left to right. The bridge is on the road to Corfe Castle and Swanage to the south. I see from the map that there is a bypasss to the town further upstream.
The handwritten note records who in the family was on this trip from Poole.
On the way back to pavement, I got to sit behind these folks for half an hour while they got their truck unstuck.
Havent been out for a while and was looking for something on this very cold snowy day---here it is. Just another Monarch capture but at least it's bright and pretty. Nice detail if viewed large.

A lotus flower and its reflection.
I used my camera's built-in flash (set to 1/4 power) to illuminate the reflection. Lost a bit of detail in the actual petals, but the reflection turned out pretty nice.
