The new walrus baby at the Hagenbeck Zoo, Hamburg became a name. He is called FIETE.
This is my last post before Christmas, so wanted to wish you all a wonderful holiday season, whether or not you celebrate. And I'd like to thank you for all your lovely comments throughout the year. I've made so many friends on here, and quite a few more in the past year, and love the interactions and seeing the mix of all your different types of photography. Looking forward to another year of photography and friendship :)
I made these wire balls for Christmas decorations and put them into a crystal bowl. Taken with my Pentacon AV 80mm, and Kenko extension tubes.

Today is a black and white day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate Sliders Sunday.
I had a busy, chaotic but very cool weekend. My Apple watch challenge is going very well so far… I burned 19 333 calories of the total of 45 400 calories until the end of September… As we all know, today is my running day so more burned calories !!

Today we have another photographic experiment. I honestly have no idea what inspired this picture… All I can think about is the fact that I have an eggs obsession and usually when I’m cooking my eggs, there is constantly something going on and I‘m getting distracted… Of course, we all know that distraction during cooking may be very, very dangerous… especially when you are very, very picky and difficult about how your eggs are done (usually I love my eggs not burnt, which seems to be rather difficult to achieve, especially on weekends). As you can see in this picture: there is a lot of distractions happening around our egg… The laws of physics don’t apply in this picture for sure, but this egg looks very delicious !

A Northern Gannet shown from another angle. These birds have a very expressive appearance - this for example is what they show each other when they want to impress - before they attack or dance, depends who is watching: another male or a beautiful gannet lady.

In 2017 I was looking to move my life in a different direction. I contacted Royce Bair and booked a private workshop with him. I wanted to learn astro photography and I have always believed you should get the best to learn from.
