One of the most famous images associated with Morris was Charles Gere's depiction of Kelmscott Manor. Morris asked Gere to illustrate his proposed prose romance The House of Wolfings, but that collaboration was more difficult and the book was not issued. Nevertheless, it is a fascinating story for anyone interested in Morris and the book arts. The Book Club publication includes fourteen of Gere's sketches and reproductions of two of Morris's letters with his own sketches suggesting how Gere might proceed. An intimate presentation of the great man at work emerges in this study.

Third in a series (here). I'm really sorry I found this after it had faded badly, and had to shoot it in bright sunlight/deep shadow (think of it as a tear in the fabric of reality). On the side of The Victoria Theatre, and clearly designed to be placed there. The caption reads, "BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TO GET HER". At least, that's one way you can read the letter spacing.
By the way, I'm interested in more information on these public wall-mounted frames; if you know more, please share.
The original photo was taken on a very dull day and it was difficult to get much drama into the image.
Using the Gradient Map tool to try the shot in Black and white I found this orange mapping added to the drama, its a bit brash but I liked the effect

I was experimenting a little with drips from the tap! (Thankfully the only drips are in the kitchen - outside it's sunny!!)

Here's another Land Rover I spotted outside The Good Neighbour. It's the more common wagon model; I wonder if the owner has that pick up I showed earlier.
Looking closely at the forest floor reveals another universe to explore.

great morning view. taken while drifting past brays rock, about 1km offshore from the pumicestone passage entrance at caloundra. the shipping on the way into port of brisbane swing very close into shore before heading out and down into moreton bay . its great to see these things go by.
in the port of brisbane currently is the USS city of corpus christi, a nuclear fast attack submarine, doing the normal brothel visits, wombat roadsign postcard buying and koala fondling.
its also known as having the longest name of any ocean going vessel, anywhere, ever.
typically it didn't sail past and fulfill my dream of seeing a submarine sail past.
It's a new tradition, a new way to kick off a trip: we stop at Twisters for a couple of their most excellent burritos, check the luggage at the Southwest counter, clear TSA, then have a leisurely breakfast in the Sunport's observation lounge. A fine start, with a last-possible-minute chile fix to boot.
Playing around in the house on a windy day with my Yongnuo Light Wand....I should be using this light more often.
Another Place by Antony Gormley an art installation of 100 life size casts of the artists body placed along Crosby Beach near Liverpool UK - someone had dressed this one!
Tried something that I have been thinking about, more of a boresight (actually 45 degree angle on the basic exploding globe.
It is out of focus for some reason. I thought that depth of field would be a problem, which is was. But don't understand why nothing is in focus.
It's still cool, with the double cone of debris and the top explosion.
I'll work on this one some more.
Picture taken at an informal gathering of collection cars that takes place every 1st Sunday of the month in La Roche sur Yon.
Surprisingly, there are dozens of photos, passed my own censorship, from this trip.
Besides them, there are my archive photos in the 'for upload' waiting list. (I've managed to scan them recently). There is a russian proverb for such situation: 'то пусто, то густо'. Something like 'it's feast or famine' or 'stuff today and starve tomorrow'...
Will try to upload, tag, describe, add notes, add to sets, geotag, send to group one photo a day.
