Venus is appearing closer to the Sun and lower in the sky than in summer and is getting trickier to image above the roof of my house after sunrise. This came out pretty well considering the conditions and how distant the planet now is.
15:37.5 UT, altitude 39.1°. Venus was magnitude -3.91 with angular diameter of 11.4", and was 89.5% illuminated.
2 opposing angular Metal creations near St Paul's... did the usual, took the "interesting" angles and not the full work... so keep guessing... he he!! A metallic Antelope Canyon?!

I'm so happy that the angles of my arms and the angles of the branches clashed, the image turned out almost exactly as I imagined.

Hojas palmadas; pecíolo alargado, engrosado en la parte adaxial, en la abaxial redondeado o angular, densamente cubierto por pelos blancos caedizos, armado en los márgenes por espinas; lámina dividida en segmentos hasta 3⁄4 partes de su radio; segmentos normalmente agudos, cubiertos de indumento caedizo por la cara abaxial. Inflorescencia intrafoliar, a veces doblemente ramificada; espata tubular, inflada en la parte central, con 2 quillas laterales, y abierta en 2 lóbulos triangulares, cubiertos por un tomento denso a lo largo de las quillas; brácteas del raquis y de las ramificaciones inconspicuas. Flores solitarias, en disposición helicoidal, con pequeñas bractéolas; sépalos 3, glabros, triangulares, soldados en la base; pétalos 3, glabros, triangulares, imbricados, soldados casi en la base. Estambres 6, con filamentos soldados en la base formando un anillo y anteras amarillas, oblongas, mediifijas; las flores femeninas pueden presentar estami- nodios semejantes a los estambres. Gineceo tricarpelar, con los estigmas curvados hacia fuera, y 1 solo rudimento seminal, con placentación basal; las flores masculinas pueden presentar pistilodios, con 1-3 carpelos diminutos. Fruto en drupa, elipsoidal, con el exocarpo liso, el mesocarpo carnoso y el endocarpo poco desarrollado. Semillas de globosas a elipsoidales, ± lisas. Formaciones arbustivas y matorrales xéricos y muy soleados, a veces subrupícola, indiferente edáfica; 1000 (1500) m. Del NW de Africa (Cordillera del Atlas). En iturraran se encuentra en la zona 3.

Shrubby palm, polygamous or dioecious. Trunk covered by the aged fibers of the foliar bases. Leales palmate; petiole elongated, thickened in the adaxial part, rounded or angular abaxialy, densely covered by white deciduous hairs, armed at the margins with thorns; blade divided into segments up to 3/4 of its radius; Normally acute segments, covered with a deciduous indument on the abaxial side. Intrafolial inflorescence, sometimes doubly branched; tubular spate, inflated in the central part, with 2 lateral keels, and open in 2 triangular lobes, covered by a dense tomentum along the keels; bracts of the rachis and ramifications inconspicuous. Solitary flowers, in helicoidal arrangement, with small bracteoles; sepals 3, glabrous, triangular, soldiers at the base; petals 3, glabrous, triangular, imbricated, almost welded at the base. Stamens 6, with filaments welded at the base forming a ring and yellow, oblong, medium-sized anthers; female flowers may have stamens similar to stamens. Tricarpelar gineceo, with the stigmas curved outwards, and 1 single seminal rudiment, with basal placentation; the male flowers can present pistilodios, with 1-3 tiny carpels. Fruit in drupe, ellipsoidal, with smooth exocarp, fleshy mesocarp and poorly developed endocarp. Seeds from globose to ellipsoidal, ± smooth. Shrub formations and xeric shrubs and very sunny, sometimes subrupícolous, indifferent edaphic; 1000 (1500) m. Var. argentea from the NW Africa (Atlas Moutains). In iturraran it is located in area 3.
